1 Sponsored event in the community The SEU sponsored the 2013 Home & Garden designed to inform and educate members Show held at the CSI Expo Center in Twin Falls, of the public ID February 15-17. The General Manager, Live Events Manager and Events Specialist coordinated the show and rented booth spaces to exhibitors from surrounding states. The SEU also manned a booth at the show where the operations manager, program directors, production director and news director distributed applications and answered questions from the over 10,000 visitors to the show.

2 Participate in Events Sponsored by In June 2012 the Twin Falls Chamber of Local Organizations Commerce asked Benito Baeza Reporter/News Director for KLIX-AM Newsradio 1310 to participate in a forum with other news media. This forum was presented for the Hospitality Business community. Various Hotel Managers were there to ask questions of the news media and how to specifically deal with them. Benito gave a brief presentation of the radio business, specifically addressing the news side of the industry. He also informed the participants of what Townsquare Media does, what we offer to the community. The presentation was well accepted & enjoyed by the participants.

The SEU hosted a tour of our broadcast facilities for the Boys Scouts on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Nine youth Cub Scouts and their three adult leaders attended. Issues discussed were as follows: How a Radio Station works, How radio is now and how it has changed with technology and how they can be on the radio. Questions & Answers were given. Nathan Bird, Brand Manager for KLIX-FM (KOOL 96.5) hosted the tour. The tour lasted approximately 40 minutes. The SEU hosted a tour of our broadcast facilities for the Girl Scouts Troop 361 on Friday, March 29, 2013. Six youth and three adult leaders attended. The troop was working on a program called “Media”. Discussion topics were: History of Radio and how it has changed and continues to change, careers available in radio, and how they are able to be involved in radio. Nathan Bird, Brand Manager for KLIX-FM (KOOL 96.5) hosted the tour. Questions were asked & answers were given. The tour lasted approximately 45 minutes.

In May 2013 the US Forest Service asked Benito Baeza, Reporter/News Director for KLIX-AM Newsradio 1310 to participate in a training forum for Public Information Officers. Benito was asked to represent local media and to present information on what we need in terms of “News Content”. Benito gave a short presentation on how the News Department functions, what is needed from various government agencies. The forum included a segment where the participants were given the opportunity to ask various questions and have them answered.

The SEU hosted a tour of our broadcast facilities for a Boy Scout on Monday, May 20, 2013. He was interested in learning about radio. Topics discussed were: Brief Overview of Radio – History how it has changed, continues to change and where it is going in the future, how radio serves the public and also the various careers available in radio. Teri West, Digital Managing Editor & Radio Announcer hosted the tour. The tour lasted approximately 30 minutes.

3 Participate in Events Sponsored by In July 2012, The SEU was contacted by a Educational Institutions student requesting help with a school project. The student interviewed Kelly Wilson aka Kendra Wolfe Brand Manager for KSNQ-FM (98.3 the Snake)/Account Executive regarding advertising rates and the process of radio advertising.

On April 24, 2013, the SEU participated in the “Southern Idaho Career Fair & College Expo at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, ID. The Operations Manager along with various Brand Managers manned a booth at the fair and spoke with students and visitors about jobs & internships in , and job opportunities at the SEU. Employment applications and internship forms were available and distributed.
