27 January 2015

Dear Parents,

We have arranged an educational visit for Seedlings class to Ashby cum Fenby to work with an outdoor specialist in the 'Classroom in the Wood'. This is designed to promote and give opportunities for first hand experiences that are not available in school. Our topic this term links ‘Once Upon A Time’, where we look closely at stories including ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’. The children will have the chance to create their own bridge to ‘trip, trap’ across!.

The visit will be on Wednesday 11th February. The children will be involved in hands on learning activities during the day. The coach will leave school at 9:15am and return by 3:15pm. The children will need waterproof clothes if weather is forecast to rain!

In order for this visit to take place I need to ask for a contribution of £4.25 per child. If this would cause financial hardship please feel free to contact your class teacher or Mrs Hackfath in confidence.

Should your child have a school meal booked on this day, this will automatically be cancelled unless you inform the office no later than Friday 30th January. A packed lunch can be made available and would consist of a cheese slice on wholemeal bread, crudités pack, individual dessert, fruit and an aqua juice carton. Again please inform the office by Friday 30th January should you require this option. Thank you for your assistance.

Please sign and return the slip below, including a contribution, by Monday 9th February. I am sure this visit will be a fun way for the children to learn.

Thank you for your support Yours sincerely Miss Wilson and staff ------Classroom in the Woods
