11/20/20 - 11/27/20 WHAT'S HAPPENING AT WITHERS? NOTE FROM PRINCIPAL MILLER

Thanksgiving is the time of year when we stop to give thanks for our friends and family! During the break, please take a moment to reflect on all the positive things your family has experienced this year. I hope your Thanksgiving is rich with meaning and blessed with good times.

The health and safety of the Withers community is a priority. We want to remind everyone to wear a mask and maintain at least a 6-foot distance. The positive COVID numbers are increasing in Dallas County, and we want all our friends to stay safe. It is important that your child does not return on Monday, November 30th if they are feeling ill or have been exposed to a person with COVID. We will send students home to quarantine if they are experiencing a cough, fever, runny nose, stomachache, etc. If in doubt, please keep them at home.

All teachers are sending home technology devices and a week of schoolwork on Friday. This will allow all learners to participate remotely in case of exposure or illness. The work is not intended to be completed over the break. Please leave the work in your child’s backpack so they don’t forget to bring it back on the Monday we return from the break.

Utilize this time to reflect, relax and recharge!

Durante el descanso, por favor tome un momento para reflexionar sobre todas las cosas positivas que su familia ha experimentado este año. Espero que su Acción de Gracias sea rico en significado y bendecido con buenos tiempos.

La salud y la seguridad de la comunidad de Withers es una prioridad. Queremos recordarles a todos que lleven una máscara y mantengan al menos una distancia de 6 pies. Los números COVID positivos están aumentando en el condado de Dallas y queremos que todos nuestros amigos se mantengan a salvo. Es importante que su hijo no regrese el lunes 30 de noviembre si se siente enfermo o ha estado expuesto a una persona con COVID. Enviaremos a los estudiantes en cuarentena si están experimentando tos, fiebre, nariz que moquea, dolor de estómago, etc. En caso de duda, por favor manténgalos en casa.

Todos los maestros están enviando dispositivos de tecnología a domicilio y una semana de tareas escolares el viernes.
