Team Notes 1. LSU’s game captains were 7 , 11 , 9 Jordan Jefferson, 78 Joseph Barksdale, 30 Josh Jasper and 92 . 2. LSU won the toss and deferred to the second half. Alabama received the opening kickoff. 3. Today’s attendance was 92,969, the fourth-largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history. 4. Michael Brockers made his first career start today, earning the start at left defensive tackle. LSU has now used 15 first-time starters this season. 5. LSU took a 3-0 edge on a Josh Jasper 45-yard line during the first quarter and is now 7-0 when scoring first. The Tigers also have won 43 of 49 games under when denting the scoreboard first. 6. LSU held Alabama out of the endzone in the first quarter. It was the seventh time this season an opponent was held scoreless against the Tigers in the first quarter. Tennessee and Auburn are the only teams who have scored on LSU this season in the first quarter. 7. QB Jordan Jefferson’s 75-yard pass to WR Rueben Randle was the longest pass completion for LSU this season. The previous long pass play was 51 yards, Jefferson to Randle in the second quarter of the season-opener against North Carolina. 8. The 94-yard drive culminated with the Jefferson-to-Randle scoring strike to cap LSU’s longest drive of the season. The previous was an 83-yard march on the first series against Tennessee on Oct. 2. 9. With the victory, LSU has won six of its last eight games against Alabama dating back to the 2003 season. It was Les Miles’ fourth win over Alabama in school history, matching his predecessor ’s mark. The Tigers also handed Saban his second loss in 37 games when leading at halftime as head coach of the Crimson Tide. 10. LSU improves to 15-1 following a loss under Les Miles. The Tigers also notched their 16th fourth quarter/overtime comeback win during the Miles era. 11. LSU converted on both of its fourth down conversions during the second half. The Tigers are now 8-of-9 on fourth down on the season and 52-of-83 under Les Miles.

Individual Notes 12. RB had one rushing tonight: a 1-yard run on a 3rd-and-goal with 8:13 left in the fourth quarter. He now has seven rushing TDs for the season and 10 for his career. The Natchez, Miss. native has scored in six of his last seven outings. a. Ridley finished with 24 carries for 88 yards. He racked up 60 of his team-best 88 yards during the second half. 13. PK Josh Jasper made three field goals today: a 45-yarder with 9:23 left in the first quarter along with a 35-yarder with 14:16 to go and a 39-yarder with 5:34 left in the fourth quarter. He missed a 45-yarder in the third quarter. a. Jasper moved into a tie for fifth place with Juan Betanzos (1982-84) in LSU history with 36 career field goals. He passed Mike Conway (1975-78) and Pedro Suarez (1990-92). For his career, Jasper is now 36-of-43 and 12-of-17 from 40 yards or more. b. Jasper remained the LSU career leader in percentage (.837) and he is fourth in SEC history in that category. c. For the season, Jasper is now 17-of-21. d. Jasper added another fake punt to his resume when he scampered 29 yards for a first down early in the third quarter. It was his third career successful fake punt and his second of the season. Jasper also had one for 11 yards against McNeese State earlier this season. 14. WR Rueben Randle hauled in his team-leading third touchdown pass of the season on a 75-yard catch-and-run from Jordan Jefferson with 8:17 to go in the third quarter. It was his second straight game with a receiving TD. a. For Randle, he finished with a career-best 125 yards on three catches. It was the first 100-yard game of his career. 15. QB Jordan Jefferson tossed a touchdown pass of 75 yards to Rueben Randle with 8:17 left in the third quarter. a. The 75-yard toss to Randle was the longest completion of his career, eclipsing his previous long of 58 yards to Brandon LaFell in last year’s Mississippi State game on Sept. 18. b. Jefferson finished 10-of-13 and his 76.9 completion rate is a career-high. His previous high was 71.4 against North Carolina during the 2010 season opener. c. Jefferson now has accounted for three passing TDs this season and 24 for his career. d. Jefferson improves to 17-6 as a starting and has provided four 4th quarter comebacks. 16. LB Kelvin Sheppard recorded his first of the season and second of his career with 11:25 to go in the first quarter. Sheppard’s other pick came last year at Alabama. Sheppard also recorded his second fumble recovery during the fourth quarter. 17. LB Ryan Baker paced LSU’s defense with 10 tackles, his third double-digit effort of the season. Baker also tacked on 1.5 sacks and has recorded 3.5 sacks in his last three games. 18. DT Drake Nevis forced his third fumble of the season and fourth of his career on a sack of Alabama QB Greg McElroy during the fourth quarter. Nevis also finished with seven tackles. 19. DB Eric Reid racked up a career-best six tackles after entering the game with nine stops during the first eight games.
