“Green Power ”

Training Course

PLACE AND DATE : (Limbara Mountain), (Italy) July 2-10, 2015 (Travel Day included)

PARTICIPANTS : 25 participants, Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Project managers, Youth Policy Makers.

COUNTRIES: Austria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain. At least 3 participants from each country.

LANGUAGE: The working language will be English.

This mobility project (TC) would like to develop participants’ skills, knowledge and attitudes concerning how to face youth unemployment developing new green job opportunities. The idea is to reflect on nowadays environmental related challenges, youth unemployment and rural depopulation in each European country and the common issues we share on these topics. The full picture of the event is to show participants how green skills and natural resources can be means of development for rural areas in a way that allow us to promote sustainable economic and social growth.

ACTIVITIES AND METHODS

The activities will be coordinated through non formal education methods (as group work and activities, presentations, workshops and personal assignments, meetings with trainers, experts etc) and participants will visits to some best practices of green jobs in Sardinia in order to better picture green economy in its practical applications. Some activities will take place outdoor, to promote Erasmus plus and non-formal education and raise awareness on environmental issues among the local community.

During the last days of the project, participants will have the chance to create working groups, to present ideas for future projects on environmental issues, sustainability, promotion of young people participation in their local community.

TRAINERS

The main coordinator will be Roberto Solinas and Maria Grazia Pirina the heads of Mine Vaganti NGO, and Vostan Aytan . The workshops are going to be held by Maria Grazia Pirina, Roberto Solinas and Vostan Aytan .

TRAVEL COSTS

According to new Erasmus Plus rules, the reimbursement of travel costs will be calculated used a specific program called Distance Calculator:

After sending their tickets and boarding cards, participants will receive the reimbursement of their travel costs once the hosting organization receive the first tranche of payment by Italian national agency.

Food, accommodation and local transports for activities will be fully covered by the project.

Participation fee: the participant fee is 20 Euro per participant to be paid once arrived in Sardinia.

The Venue

The venue of the Project is Tempio Pausania, Italian town of 14,287 inhabitants of the province of Tempio- in Sardinia. It is located in the north of Sardinia, about 556 meters above sea level. It is about 70 km from , 105 km from and 45 km from Olbia.

Limbara Mountain is located in the north-eastern Sardinia. It is the southern border between the historical and geographical regions of Gallura and Logudoro. The highest peak, Punta Balistreri, rises to an altitude of 1,359 meters above sea level.

How to reach Tempio Pausania

Alghero and Olbia have airports which connect North Sardinia with many destinations in Italy and Europe.

By boat: the nearest harbour are and Olbia.

Arrival

The organization will fix pick up point with the participants and will provide further information about the means of transportation between the airport of Alghero and Olbia and the venue.

Please note: to not purchase any tickets without receiving an official confirmation by email sent by Mine Vaganti NGO staff.

What to bring?

Since there is going to be an international evening, we will ask you to bring something traditional, famous or delicious from home - that you would like to represent your country with, and share with the others, it can be any kinds of food, drink...

During the summertime, weather in Tempio Pausania is generally warm. Nevertheless, in the evening it can be windy, so we suggest to bring jackets and some warm clothes, together with lighter items.
