NOTICE OF INTENT

NORTH DISTRICT COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, AREA) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2009) (VARIATION NO.#) ORDER 20**

Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that North Somerset District Council proposes to make an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to amend the on-street (non-P&D parking) parking restrictions on various roads in Backwell, Banwell, , Hutton, Kenn, Long Ashton, Pill, Portbury, Portishead, Wrington as described by the schedule to this notice (below).

Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft Order which, together with relevant plans and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at the following locations:

Persons wishing to object to these proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Director of Development and Environment at Town Hall, Walliscote Grove Road, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1UJ or at the email address below quoting reference DRB/PO/PPC/17 by 5pm on 29th March 2017. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000, any letter you write to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

Backwell  Moor Lane – Extension of existing double yellow lines on both sides of the road.  Westfield Road – Extension of existing double yellow lines on the east side of the road. Banwell  High Street – Installation of Double Yellows at it’s junction with The Square.  Church Street – Installation of Double Yellow lines on the east side of the road opposite no. 17. Bleadon  Bridge Road – Installation of Double Yellow Lines from its junction with the A370 northwards on both sides of the road. Hutton  Moor Lane – Installation of Double Yellow Lines both sides of the road at it’s junction with Main Road. Kenn  Barns Ground – Double Yellow Lines around the junction at the eastern end of the cul-de-sac. Long Ashton  Bramley Copse – Double Yellow lines outside number 35 and 41 on the east and west side of the road  Pear tree Avenue – Double Yellow Lines on both sides of the road at the junction outside numbers 34 – 38  Long Ashton Road – At its junction with Clarken Coombe on the northern side of the junction Pill  Hart Close – Both Side west of the Narowing Portbury  Royal Portbury Dock Road Roundabout – Installation of Double Yellow Lines from the roundabout on both sides of the road towards Portbury Road.  Portbury Way – On both sides of the road double yellow lines for the first 20 meters and then, up to the next section of double yellow lines at its junction with Banyard Road, HGV over 7.5 Tonnes No Waiting 8pm – 7 am seven days a week.  Banyard Road – For its entire length on both sides of the road HGV over 7.5 Tonnes No Waiting 8pm – 7am. Portishead  Access Road to Brunel Court – Limited Waiting and disabled parking bays  Tower Road – On the northern side of its junction with Highview double yellow lines.  Downleaze – At its junction with Manor Close convert the existing double yellows to no waiting between 9 am and 5pm.  Down Road – On the south side of the road from the existing double yellows east of the downs eastwards install double yellow lines.  Weatherly Drive – Double yellow lines on both sides of the road adjacent to the traffic islands and at its junction with Valley Road.  Clevedon Road – Double yellow lines on the east side from its junction with Clapton Lane southwards.  West Hill – On both side of the road outside numbers 75 and 77, double yellow lines.  West Hill Gardens – On both sides of the road opposite the access road to the garages install double yellow lines.  Newfoundland Way – Double yellow lines around the junction on all sides of the access road to the boat yard and the access road to the marina.  Newfoundland Way – Double yellow lines on both sides of the road from its junction with Phoenix Way to number 150.  Kittiwake Drive – Double yellow lines on the east side of the road opposite the access road to numbers 3-8 and on the corners outside numbers 11 and 114.  Lower Burlington Road – Double yellow lines on all sides around its junction with Watch House Place, on Both sides of the road from Estuary House to Centre Quay.  Gateway Terrace – Double yellow lines on the east side of the road opposite numbers 23 – 28.  Burlington Road – Double yellow lines on both sides of the road outside 109, on both sides of the road around its junction with Eastcliff and Lower Burlington Road.  Lockside – Double yellow lines on both sides of the road around the bend by numbers 3-14, on both sides of the road outside number 20, on both sides of the road on the bends by numbers 44-54 and 55-65.  Eastcliff – Double yellow lines on the south side of the road outside numbers 78 and 84-86.  Woodacre – Double yellow lines on the north side of the road outside number 29 and on both sides of the road outside number 43. Wrington  Broad Street – On the south side of the road, convert the existing single yellow line to parking bay to allow parking for 30 mins.
