➢ Deans and Directors Virtual Meeting (Kathy) ​ ​ Discussion was had about having a virtual meeting or pushing the meeting to Spring 2021, Topics, plan B. Will send survey with options

➢ Recording of Monthly Meetings (Kathy) ​ ​ Will begin recording and will place in shared drive. Starting in October

➢ Update: Clinical Placements (Kathy) ​ ​ ​ Weekly COVID Testing results being required for students to attend clinical sites;

➢ Update: Rules Sub-committee (Kathy) ​ ​ ​ ​ There is a sub-committee reviewing rules and we will send out a proposed copy to Directors prior to submitting to the Board.

➢ Update: Preceptor Sub-committee (Kathy) ​ ​ ​ ​ Subcommittee will be scheduled.

➢ COVID Survey (Kathy) ​ ​ ​ ​ 5 responses have been received. please reach out to Dave if you have any questions. [email protected]

➢ Innovations/Concerns/ Problems (Kathy) ​ ​ ​ ● Jan Kramer (Brookline) After receiving feedback from students Brookline will conduct a drive thru graduation for a class of 57 students with social distancing measures in place. ● Roni Collazo (Estrella Mtn. CC) Expressed appreciation for having NCLEX Summary Reports delivered automatically; Lyn will resend the email to Directors and will begin setting up reports per the requests received. ● Kathy Malloch (AZBN) How is everyone doing, how are the students handling new normal so far? Several Programs voiced concerns with lack of communications; Students want to be in the class; Students that are not in the class want to be; Faculty having a hard time stepping away/unplug; Students are experiencing technology fatigue; Students and Faculty miss the in person conversations; Mental Health concerns due to stress; Encouragement to focus on self-care. Heidi Sandborn provided free resources including videos we can use: ​ https://mindfulnesscenter.asu.edu/resources Optimizing Remote Teams ● allow time for team members to catch up ● engage experts from different locations; ● Have coffee virtually / videoconferencing ● ** must be more proactive in remote work – intentionally schedule check-in-times; ● Use multiple communication formats ● Send an occasional note card in the mail ➢ Suggestions for Next Meeting - Please send suggestions to Board Staff ​ (Thursday, October 8th, 2020)
