In 2001, bond yields were 90% on average and inflation rates were approximately 80%; however, due to Turkey’s Economic Stabilization Program bond yields have lowered to around 20% and inflation has dropped to single digits. Also, Turkey’s growth performance was remarkable in the last four years with a cumulative 34% GDP growth mostly stemming from private consumption and investments.
