MATERIA WEEK 4 saw a modern industrial techno revolution on the Vista Club dance floor! Blended with a lineup of international DJs who encompass everything about the purist forms of the genre.

Pulsating, blistering cuts of masterful techno engulf the smoky flairs of Vista Club, you are slowly being laired further into the Materia mist enticed by the sonic soundscapes of Swedish Producer/DJ Mikael Clubs&Djs Jonasson. Mikael is a true purveyor of purist forms; a love for vinyl shines through his aura acquired from the A dogged struggle that accompanied his transformation from 90’s scene raver to experimental vinyl releaser. Speaking of experiments it’s time for Mikael to unleash a metallic charged cut of rare unadulterated techno B on the Materia dance floor with his own production, ‘Projectile’, a rare slice of forceful mechanized mayhem! The Ibiza 2016 summer season is more than in full swing with tourists, workers and residents Clubs&Djs alike partying until the early hours of the morning at their favourite nights on the island. One A event in particular has stood out this year. Quickly making waves and threatening the roof of JUNE 9TH - september 1sT B Vista Club at Privilege since its opening party 6 weeks ago is UK brand Solid Grooves. They have taken the island by storm with their impressive headliners, super talented residents and C not forgetting the special vibes at their events, all cherished by their 'Groover' following, and ANJA SCHNIEDER - BODDIKA - CRISTOPH - DENNIS CRUZ this is only their first Ibiza season. D E On July 14th we headed down to the beautiful Vista space to experience one of the most DENNEY - DENSE&PIKA - DETLEF - DUNGEON MEAT - HUXLEY hyped nights on the island, and boy was the line up an unmissable one! Jacob Husley opened F proceedings at midnight dropping a set of warm up grooves that got the crowd excited for JACOB HUSLEY - JEY KURMIS - LEFTWING&KODY - KYDUS what was to come. Next to take control of the decks was Michael Bibi, and oh my, did he play G a monster selection of up tempo beats and bass that even had revellers jumping on their H MICHAEL BIBI - ONNO - PAWSA - PETER PIXZEL - REBOOT friends shoulders to show appreciation. His set included his own productions such 'Labyrinth' and soon to be released 'Be Mine' which received huge appreciation from the Groovers. As I Michael Bibi handed over to Steve Bug, we were all holding on to the edge of our seats in huge REELOW - ROBERT DIETZ - SECOND CITY - STEVE BUG J anticipation to see the music legend perform. Steve Bug exceeded all expectations. His deep SUBB-AN - YAYA - YOUSEF techno sounds had the room at boiling point and his energy was infectious as he jumped K and bounced his shoulder length hair to the mesmerising beats. Definitely a performance to remember. L + MANY MORE M Pawsa took the crowd through a solid set of his own music productions as well as deep basslines, showcasing what Solid Grooves are all about, and had fans videoing his N performance throughout. It was now 5am, and Detlef jumped on to carry us through to the infamous Vista sunrise. He did not waste time in keeping the energy up with this high octane O track selections which kept revellers on their feet throughout, all in awe of his music skills. As P sunrise approached, the room was still at high numbers as confetti rocketed in to the happy faces of the Groovers. Q R Thursdays have never been the same since Solid Grooves landed at Vista, and we cannot wait go back for another dose of the spectacular party.
