The travel ban applies to all arrivals into New Zealand whether by air or sea. This includes superyachts arriving in New Zealand. New Zealand citizens and residents returning to New Zealand are exempt from the travel ban and may travel to New Zealand without formal exemption. For all other travellers there are a limited number of exceptions.
