My fellow Brothers, advisors, and friends,

I would like to be the first to welcome you to Jabez, KY, home of Kentucky DeMolays amazing annual conclave. The place where we as brothers become closer, and build friendships that last a life. It is the greatest event to aend in DeMolay for ritual and athlec compeons, welcome new comrades to OUR Brotherhood, and more importantly, come to appreciate the camaraderie that DeMolay offers. While we spend this weekend together, and you might nail a ritual part or be MVP for your team, don’t lose site of being with your brothers from other chapters. Take me to get to know every brother at this event as well as the advisors. Listen to their stories as well as tell yours, and while you’re at it create a story with them. Those memories will sck with you for the rest of your life.

It has been an honor to serve as your State Master Councilor for the 2016‐17 term. I am extremely proud to say that I am a part of this great order, and more importantly being a member in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We have had a very successful and producve year. For starters, we reached posive growth for the 2016 term, and have a very strong start for 2017. We came together and traveled to Washington, DC. We are proud and excited to welcome our new chapter E.C. Nickle’s chapter to the Kentucky DeMolay family.

Going into my term there were several milestones we wanted to accomplish, and moving forward from my term I know Kentucky DeMolay is in good hands. We had some big ideas and my young state officers worked hard collecvely, and the term was successful because of you, my brothers. We had an amazing year and built a lot of memories together at our conclaves and as we traveled.

I would like to thank Dad Danny and Dad Greg Coffey for all they have done for Kentucky DeMolay over the years, as well as Mom Teri and Mom Glenda Coffey. I want each and every one of my brothers to thank them for their service, and if they need any help during this event, stop what you’re doing and lend them a hand. Safe travels everyone, and I can’t wait to see you next summer.

Fraternally,

Draven Ray Sims

Greetings Brothers and friends, I would like to welcome everyone to our 2017 Annual Conclave at the wonderful 4-H Leadership Center in Nancy! Whether this is your first, or last annual conclave, I hope it is filled with great times that cre- ate lasting memories. I encourage you to do something that may be outside of your comfort zone. Maybe your chapter needs another member for their basketball team, or possibly we need more people to compete in a certain ritual part, whatever the challenge may be, however big or small, remember that your DeMolay Brothers are here to help! Every year, we change leadership, and may have hit some bumps in the road, but this term was very successful! Kentucky DeMolay hit positive growth last year, and we are on track to do the same this year. We were even able to institute a new chapter in Jackson, which is doing very well! All in all, this term would not have been possible without each and every one of you! I would like to personally thank Draven Sims, Patrick Elbert, and Joshua Ball for being great state line officers to work with, all of the advisors for working diligently with us young men, and especially Mom and Dad Teri and Greg Coffey for being prime role models and mentors for myself, as well as Kentucky DeMolay. I appreciate the love and support my parents have provided. DeMolay has allowed me to spend a great deal of time with my dad, whose been right by my side guiding and supporting me and I will never forget his devotion and sacrifice. Draven and I have been reflecting on this past year, and I would like to express how honored I am to have served as your Deputy State Master Councilor. I have formed relationships and created memories which I will value for the rest of my life. This past year has made me even more excited for the opportunity I have to serve as our 2017/2018 State Master Councilor. I will be gone most of this summer, as I am serving as a Summer Intern for DeMolay International in Kansas City, . This internship has been amazing, but just because I am 8 hours away from Kentucky, please do not think that I have forgotten my duties, I’ll just need a bit more help from my state line. I’m keeping up with everyone on Facebook, or other social media, and I will cherish this time I have with you at Summer Conclave. I cannot wait to start my new term as SMC, and I expect great things from Kentucky DeMolay this year! Fraternally yours, Christopher Alexander Heinrich, Deputy State Master Councilor

To the Brothers, advisors, friends, associates and sponsors of Kentucky DeMolay, I am ecstatic to be present with you here at the 2017 Annual Conclave. It has been a wonderful year for the Priory thus far, and I am excited to serve out the rest of my term, in the service of Kentucky DeMolay. I would like to thank each and every one of you for supporting Kentucky DeMolay. Without the support of our advisors and sponsors, the young men of Kentucky DeMolay would not be able to fully and successfully grow into law-abiding and enlightened citizens, as is the mission of our organization. We seek to better ourselves as young men in every respect by living by the seven cardinal virtues we were taught when we first walked the floors of the chapter room; by staying true to the promises we made when we first knelt at the altar of DeMolay. Without your efforts and sponsorship, the truth of DeMolay may never have reached our ears. The mission of the Priory is to assist and nurture DeMolay in anyway it can. Naturally, we focus on the younger members of our organization to assist in any way possible so that they may grow into great leaders and bring Kentucky DeMolay into the future. As the Illustrious Knight Commander, it is my dedication to spend the year doing just that. I am excited for the rest of the term and what it will bring, and I am excited to spend this Kentucky DeMolay Annual Conclave with my Brothers and with my friends.

Fraternally,

Stephen Paul Denny, Illustrious Knight Commander C. Frye Haley Memorial Priory

Welcome back to the beautiful Leadership Center in Jabez, Kentucky for the 2017Annual Conclave - the place where DeMolays build strong bonds of brotherhood and learn what DeMolay is all about. There’s no other place like it!

We’ve recently returned from the 97th Annual DeMolay International Session held in Buffalo, New York. Your delegates, Draven Sims and Patrick Elbert were present to vote on important legislation and help elect the International officers for 2017-2018. This is a great gathering and a chance for us to reconnect with people we’ve met at past sessions and build friendships from those around the globe.

Please show appreciation to your advisors, DeMolay parent’s club and the staff at the 4-H Leadership Center here in Jabez by being respectful and helping others. As guests are checking in, help them unload their car and assist with getting their luggage to their room, open the door when a lady is about to enter the building, offer to take up a DeMolay Mom’s tray after a meal, thank your advisor for spending time with you this week and driving you all the way here so that you could enjoy this great weekend.

Remember you have a Hospitality Room sponsored by the State Parents Club where you can have a snack and fellowship together. Some great plans have been made at that hospitality room table over the years. It gives you a sense of “home” with family members all sitting around the table together. As other state jurisdictions have said, Kentucky DeMolay is like one big family. The DeMolay “Clothes Closet” is available in the Hospitality Room should you need some DeMolay apparel at no cost to you. One of the DeMolay moms will help you pick something out and even hem pants or sew on buttons if you need them too, all you need to do is ask.

We have had a very successful DeMolay year. We traveled over 10,000 miles in Kentucky last year. Since our 2016 Annual Conclave, 50 young men joined Kentucky DeMolay. We want to thank Draven Sims, Chris Heinrich, Patrick Elbert and Josh Ball for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Thank you all for making the trip to Washington, D.C. a big success. Dad Jon Elbert, we appreciate all of your effort in putting the trip together. We want to thank all of our great advisors for your continued dedication to this Order. We also welcome our new advisors and thank you for the commitment you have made to work with the young men of Kentucky.

Thanks for being a part of Kentucky DeMolay and let’s work together to keep growing our Order.

Sincerely,
