HERE’S WHAT I THINK...

They wait in line at the local Starbucks, quiet, lost in their own thoughts, these complete strangers united only by a common H need for a jolt of caffeine to jump-start their day. Then the e unexpected happens; a middle-aged woman in front of the line pays for her own latte, and also the order of the young teenager H waiting behind her. When the teenager gets to the cashier to a pay, she is surprised by this ambush of generosity, and she s decides to pass it along, so she tells the cashier that she will pay for the older gentleman who is standing in line behind her. Again H and again this cycle of surprise and gratitude and joy repeats e itself, until the entire Starbucks is full of ex-strangers who have become a acquainted with each other, laughing and swapping stories, giving and receiving r these gifts of simple generosity, united by their common humanity. Everyone left d the store happy, pumped up and ready for their day – and it was not because of the caffeine. M y Generosity is contagious. It can create community out of isolation. Can you pass on your blessings to others? V The Fall Festival Committee are working very hard to plan for this annual o event. We are asking for your support with kindness and generosity. We truly i appreciate that each ministry in the parish donates a basket of goodies for the c Silent Auction! We also ask each family to buy a book of the raffle tickets and help e to sell at least one or more books of tickets to friends. And please mark your calendar and plan to be at the Festival on the first Saturday of October! I
