E–mail: [email protected] Received 28 January 2021 │ Accepted by V. Pešić: 22 February 2021 │ Published online 24 February 2021. Abstract A checklist and distribution of the taxa of the Dichagyris subgenus Albocosta, with the description of three new species (D (A.) musichuana sp. n., D (A.) ochrocosta sp. n., D (A.) antevolans sp. n.) and two new subspecies (D (A.) lasciva pamirpsychra ssp. n., D (A.) triangularis sinangularis ssp. n.) are given. Key words: Asia, taxonomy, Noctuidae. Introduction The genus Albocosta (= Pseudochropleura Beck, 1992, nomen nudum) was erected by Fibiger & Lafontaine in 1997 for a group of species, characterised by a typical forewing pattern, in which the base colour is reddish brown, whereas the costa widely whitish, yellowish or ochreous. Most of the species associated to this newly established genus, originally had been described as Agrotis Ochsenheimer, 1816, while a few of them as Chersotis Boisduval, 1840, Ochropleura Hübner, [1821] 1816 or Rhyacia Hübner, [1821] 1816. Studying the male and female genitalia structures, and comparing the genitalia configuration with those of the genus Dichagyris Lederer, 1857, author did not find any significant differences that would justify the classification of these species as a separate genus. Thus Albocosta is accepted here as a subgenus of Dichagyris. In the male genitalia, the capsule does not indicates conspicuous differences among the each taxa, while the vesica is long, tubular or more ample, coiled. In the female genitalia, most of the taxa have bifurcate, long, sack-like bursa, while in a few ones the appendix bursae is much shorter, ovoid. The genus Basistriga Fibiger & Lafontaine, 1997 ((Noct. Eur. 3: 125; TS: Noctua flammatra (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775)) is accepted here also as a subgenus of Dichagyris, but not as a synonym of Albocosta. The checklist and distribution of the taxa of the subgenus Albocosta, including the three new species and two new subspecies being described in this article, are given here. In each year the trap operated from 5 March until 5 November. During the eight years altogether 127 929 specimens were collected belonging to 594 species, which is about 60% of the Hungarian fauna. 216 species occurred in each year. Noctuidae and Geometridae were most rich in spe- cies and most abundant. Arctiidae, Lasiocampidae, Notodontidae and Sphingidae were also represented in a considerable proportion. The analysis of the flight activity curves shows two summer peaks and also a smaller spring and an autumn peak. The faunal type composition of the species and their abundance, respectively, was the following: Transpalearctic (48.15%, 55.68%), Boreo Continental (18.86, 8.16%), South Continental (2.02%, 0.67%), West Palae- arctic (28.96%, 35.14%), Xeromontane (1.01%, 0.05%) and Extrapalaearctic (1.01%, 0.31%).

For close on 18 months he had battled heroically and with characteristic determination against a particularly unpleasant form of cancer, and continued with his writing and research until close to the end. Michael was born on 29 June, 1945, in Hellerup, a suburb of Copenhagen, and began catching moths at the age of nine, particularly in the vicinity of the summer house where they stayed on the north coast of Zealand. By the time he was 11, he wanted to join the Danish Lepidoptera Society but was told he was too young and must wait “a couple of years”. So, exactly two years later he applied again and was accepted – as the youngest-ever Member of the Society. Michael always knew he wanted to be a teacher, and between 1965 and 1970 he attended training college at Hel- lerup Seminarium. Having graduated, he taught Danish, Biology and Special Education at Gentofte School until 1973. In the meantime, he studied Clinical Psychology at the University of Copenhagen from 1970 to 1976, and from 1973 to 1981 he became School Psychologist for elementary schools and high schools in the municipality of Gentofte, work which involved investigation and testing of children with psychiatric problems, counselling, supervi- sion and therapy. He was also an instructor in drug prevention for the Ministry of Education.

  • Tracking List
Tracked Taxa List: Current as of Invertebrates 2021-May-17 This list contains the tracked invertebrate animal taxa known by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre (SKCDC) to occur within Saskatchewan, as of the date provided above. If you notice any errors or omissions, please contact [email protected]. For more information about how the SKCDC generates these lists and what determines when a species is tracked by the SKCDC, visit: http://biodiversity.sk.ca/lists.htm Conservation ranks/status are provided for each species. For details on each, refer to the following resources: ◦ Subnational (S), National (N) and Global (G) Ranks: www.biodiversity.sk.ca/ranking.htm ◦ Government of Saskatchewan Wild Species at Risk Regulations: https://publications.saskatchewan.ca/#/products/1609 ◦ COSEWIC: https://www.cosewic.ca/index.php ◦ SARA; Government of Canada Species at Risk public registry: https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/species-risk-public-registry.html SYNONYMS: This list is being provided by the SKCDC as a tool to facilitate users in determining the current, accepted taxonomy. If a name is currently out of use in Saskatchewan, it’s current synonym is provided, indented in the line below the accepted name. In this row, we are unable to distinguish between true synonyms and misapplied names used as synonyms. For example, Cryptantha fendleri is an accepted name for a vascular plant that is currently found in Saskatchewan. This name, however, has also been misapplied to both Cryptantha kelseyana and Cryptantha minima in the past. Therefore, it appears as a synonym to those two species.
