GUESTS OF CONTEXT STAY AT THE HILTON HOUSTON PLAZA The 1825 Conrad Graf Piano

ontext is pleased to celebrate tonight the arrival of a stunning new piano to Houston - a rare and magnificent piano built in 1825 in by Conrad Graf which languished in a C Tuscan hideaway. Its voice unheard for more than a century, it was recently discovered by Context musicians, who like to call the instrument "Sleeping Beauty!"

Conrad Graf (1782-1851) was one of the most celebrated builders of Viennese in the early 19th century. Appointed imperial piano-maker in 1824, he made instruments treasured by important artists and music lovers, including pianos for Beethoven and Robert and . Only a few of Graf's pianos survive in playable condition, with perhaps five in the U.S one of which is in the Metropolitan Museum in New York and which is not in playing condition. Miraculously spared from warping and damage and requiring no major restoration, this instrument is particularly important because it has remained in pristine unaltered state and is one of the best-preserved examples of Graf's pianos in existence. Graf's pianos were renowned for their warmth, power, and extraordinary variety of nuance. This instrument reveals the remarkable palette of colors and expressive effects of music of late 19th century composers. Indeed, it is the perfect piano for the music of Schubert. Dr. Robert Yekovick, Dean of the Shepherd School of Music Pennebaker has a formula for business success: Trust the power of design. Sure, design can make you look good. But we can do so much more ...

What we really do is design strategies and tools to , help your business grow. Strategies and tools that make it clear who you are, what you do and why customers should believe you. .. You start, by deciding on the answers. But we help . •· Then we create a strategy that is right and tools that are bold and handsome enough to make an impact in

an over stimulated world.

Trust the strategy of design. And the design of strategy.
