The victory was the first in the series for the RailRiders. May 21 @ Pawtucket L 5-4 May 22 @ Pawtucket L 7-6 The Chiefs struck early in the top of the first after two walks and a hit batter loaded the bases for Irving Falu who then smacked a single May 23 @ Pawtucket W 7-1 that brought in three runs. Chance Adams tossed the shortest outing of his career going two thirds and allowing three runs on one hit, May 24 @ Pawtucket W 3-1 three walks, and a hit batter. J.P. Feyereisen relieved Adams throwing two innings allowing no runs on two hits, two walks and two May 25 vs. Syracuse L 10-3 strikeouts. May 26 vs. Syracuse L 10-3 May 27 vs. Syracuse W 7-4 In the bottom of the second Ryan McBroom smacked a two-out double and Rey Navarro singled to right to drive in McBroom for the first May 28 vs. Syracuse 1:05 PM RailRiders run, making it 3-1. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre continued to battle back as L.J. Mazilli smashed a solo homerun over the left field wall in the bottom of the third. June 1 @ Indianapolis 7:15 PM news & notes 2018 vs. chiefs SHEFFIEL-ING GOOD: In his Triple-A debut, the Pawtucket Red Sox scored twice off of LHP Justus Sheffield in the overall head-to-head: 5-4 first few batters and had a 2-0 lead with two outs in the 1st inning.     MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL WEEKLY NOTES FRIDAY, JULY 28, 2017 BLACKMON WORKING TOWARD HISTORIC SEASON On Sunday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Coors Field, Colorado Rockies All-Star outfi elder Charlie Blackmon went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and his 24th home run of the season. With the round-tripper, Blackmon recorded his 57th extra-base hit on the season, which include 20 doubles, 13 triples and his aforementioned 24 home runs. Pacing the Majors in triples, Blackmon trails only his teammate, All-Star Nolan Arenado for the most extra-base hits (60) in the Majors. Blackmon is looking to become the fi rst Major League player to log at least 20 doubles, 20 triples and 20 home runs in a single season since Curtis Granderson (38-23-23) and Jimmy Rollins (38-20-30) both accomplished the feat during the 2007 season.
