1.Tie Breaking Format – Round Robin Games - There will be NO ties during the Round Robin Games - at the end of regulation time, if the is tied, the outcome will be determined by a SHOOTOUT - Each team identifies 3 players (must be 3 different players) to participate in the Shootout. Each team alternates taking a shot on goal (same as penalty shot rules). The visiting team shoots first. - All 3 players from each team must take a shot in the shootout, unless it becomes mathematically impossible to win. - If tied at the end of the 3-player round of the shootout, we then go to 1 shooter sudden victory shootout. - No player may shoot twice until all players have taken a shot. - No penalized players at the end of regulation time may participate in the shootout. - The victorious team will be awarded 1 goal to the final score and be considered the winner. For example, game is tied 2-2 at the end of the game, the score for use in the final standings will be 3- 2. - Points in the preliminary Games will be as follows: Win = 2 points, Loss = 0 points

2. Game Times: - Tyke through Bantam - 3 periods x 15-minutes (running time) - Three minute warm up at start of games - Three minute rest between periods. - Stop time in the last 3 minutes of the game (unless there is a goal differential of 3 or more points) - No shot clock for Tyke Division

3. Playoff Games: - If teams are tied at the end of regulation time, there will be a three minute rest, - a change of ends, - a 5 minute period of running time with victory being declared upon the scoring of the first goal (sudden victory). - If still tied at the end of the 5 minute overtime, the shootout format will follow.

4. Reminders - Each team will be prepared or ready to play 15 minutes prior to game time. - We would greatly appreciate if all coaches could remind players and parents that ball throwing is not permitted in the arena halls, dressing rooms, outside the arena or against the wall of the neighbouring buildings. - Please respect the rulings of the officials on the floor and respect your teammates and opposing players.
