Debbie Kruger Aufruf – at Mincha, Shabbat November 17, 1:30 pm

There will be a special Mincha service on Shabbat day, November 17 at 1:30 pm, following the regular Kiddush. This service will include an Aufruf aliyah for Debbie Kruger, daughter of Judy Levenstein and Phil Kruger. The service will feature a number of Jewish rituals taken largely from Sephardic Jewish communities; rituals that have been adapted to the idea of a bride having an Aufruf. The service is open to all, and the Levenstein / Krugers hope that their entire CAI family / community (women and men) will join them for this event. Following the service, there will be a dairy dessert reception. Gifts are very much discouraged. Donations to CAI, its library and / or its adult scholarly education group are, of course, always welcome. An RSVP to the synagogue office made more than a week in advance would be very much appreciated. Please register at agudath.org/form/kruger-auf-ruf.html.

agudath.org | NOVEMBER 2018 35 The Jewish Memorial Chapel has been serving the Jewish community for over 95 years The Jewish Memorial Chapel has the distinction of being the first non-profit, community-owned funeral home in the United States. We were founded by a civic-minded group of Jewish businessmen in 1921. We uphold the highest standards of Jewish law pertaining to funerals. We are a Shomer Shabbos facility and have a state-of-the-art chapel in Clifton that is near local cemeteries. We also make other state and world-wide arrangements. The Jewish Memorial Chapel is owned and managed by synagogues and Jewish organizations in the area. We encourage pre-planning a funeral. Pre-planning allows families the time needed to make decisions regarding funeral options without the emotional stress related to the loss. The Jewish Memorial Chapel funeral directors will lead you through the pre-arrangement process and be attentive to your every need. They will answer all your questions and never pressure you into making uncomfortable decisions. Contact us for more information at: 973-779-3048. Ask for our free color brochure.
