The George Brown College Foundation remains committed to making study at BOARD OF DIRECTORS George Brown College as accessible as possible by raising funds for scholarships, bursaries, awards and capital projects. The Foundation works to meet this 2016-2017 mandate for the simple reason that we know the work we do has a tangible Noella Milne, Chair impact on our students, community and society. President, Brookfield Partners Foundation During the last fiscal year, the Foundation was able to transfer $11.3 million Karen Foss to George Brown College. The Board is particularly pleased to note that the President, Roy Foss Motors Ltd Foundation’s activities effected an increase in the number of expendable awards this past year. Approximately $1.82 million was distributed via scholarships in Cindy Gouveia President, George Brown College Foundation fiscal 2016 - 2017, an increase of approximately $680,000 over the $1.14 million distributed in the previous fiscal year. Additionally, the average dollar amount of Peter Lee, Vice Chair scholarships in fiscal 2016 - 2017 was $1,448, some $443 more than the previous Managing Director & Head, CIBC Wood Gundy fiscal year which averaged $1,015 per scholarship. Furthermore, in fiscal 2016 - & Private Wealth Management Canada 2017 the Foundation was able to facilitate disbursements to 1,260 students, 130 Mark McEwan more than the 1,130 distributed in the previous fiscal year. Additionally, we were able to make great strides in the Success at Work Leslie McLean Campaign that has a fundraising goal of $60 million by the year 2020. The Faculty Member, Interprofessional Psychosocial Foundation was able to end fiscal 2016 - 2017 with a cumulative fund of Oncology Distance Education Program approximately $38 million.
