The Digital Banking Officer is responsible for acquiring new customers, calling on existing or prospective clients in order to build new business, producing growth in income by selling business products and services, developing relationships with referral sources, and identifying and capitalizing on other business development opportunities. Correspondingly, this professional must maintain knowledge of industry trends, products, and technology; develop a robust network of industry participants; participate in digital/technology community affairs; and broaden new business opportunities.

Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, along with the Bank’s policies and procedures.

Not to harm consumers with any act that could be misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive in act or practice.

Develop new business clients and expand existing relationships related to financial technology, blockchain technology, crypto currency, and other “start-up” focused .

 Manage the development and implementation of new business development initiatives for these types of clients  Develop a strong network of referral sources in these and related industries  Build and maintain Silvergate’s positive image and reputation in these industries  Work interactively with other internal members on product, services and technology development  Work interactively with other Digital Banking members on customer relationship and operational processes  Monitor trends in these areas and identify new business opportunities for the Bank

Interacts with business units, third party vendors and customers at all levels to identify needs and requirements to propose strategies and solutions for accomplishment of strategic business objectives.

Participates in technology, operations and other projects related to digital banking.

Responsible for understanding digital banking technologies including but not limited to:  Financial Technology  Advanced Cryptography  Crypto Currency, including Bitcoin
