Bishop Ough Reappointed to West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The North Central Jurisdiction Committee on Episcopacy has announced the appointment of Bishop Bruce R. Ough to the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Bishop Ough, along with his wife, Char, have faithfully served in West Ohio for the last eight years, and will return for another quadrenium as the spiritual leader for more than 230,000 United Methodists in 1,188 congregations in 58 Ohio counties. ST. PAUL’S MEN HOST UNITED NEW BEGINNINGS AT METHODIST MEN’S BREAKFAST ST. PAUL’S CHURCH

Pumpkin Bread

by Tracy Sdao Ingredients Instructions 3 1/2 cups flour Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2 tsp. baking soda Mix pumpkin, water, oil, and eggs together. 1 1/2 tsp. salt Mix in dry ingredients. Mix well. 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 cups pumpkin Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.

3 cups sugar Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until done. 1 cup vegetable oil Cool before removing. 4 eggs 2/3 cup water

Beef Stew

by Dorothy Foster Ingredients Instructions 4 carrots, cut in chunks Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

2 onions, cut in chunks Put all ingredients in pan and cover. 1 lb. beef stew meat, cubed Cook in oven for 7 hours. 2 celery sticks, bit sized 1 can stewed tomatoes, undrained Add potatoes at the 5th hour, if cooking at 250 degrees.

1/4 cup minute tapioca Stir a couple of times. dash thyme or oregano Add mushrooms, if desired.

salt and pepper to taste This recipe can be cooked for 5 hours at 300 degrees. 1 heaping tsp. instant coffee 1 beef bullion cube
