Born and raised in Manchester, Fury weighed just 1lb at birth after being born three months premature. His father John named him after Mike Tyson. From Irish traveller heritage, the“Gypsy King” is undefeated in 28 professional fights, winning 27 with 19 knockouts, and drawing once. His most famous victory came in 2015, when he stunned longtime champion Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles. He was forced to vacate the belts because of issues with drugs, alcohol and mental health, and did not fight again for more than two years. Most thought he was done with boxing forever. Until an amazing comeback fight with Deontay Wilder in December 2018. It was an instant classic, ending in a split decision tie. Outside of the ring, Tyson Fury is a mental health ambassador. He donated his million dollar purse from the Deontay Wilder fight to the homeless. This book is dedicated to the cause of mental health awareness. -
Burnett Challenges Haskins for World Title in Belfast
BURNETT CHALLENGES HASKINS FOR WORLD TITLE IN BELFAST Ryan Burnett will challenge Lee Haskins for the IBF World Bantamweight title at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on June 10, live on Sky Sports. The unbeaten Belfast man gets his first World title crack on home turf and the 24 year old is looking to graduate to World level having moved seamlessly to 16-0, picking up the British and WBC International strap en-route. Haskins picked up the strap with an impressive sixth round stoppage win over Ryosuke Iwasa in 2015 and has defended the crown twice with points wins over Ivan Morales in May and Stuart Hall in September. The Bristolian southpaw will provide the stiffest test of the talented Adam Booth trained Burnett, who believes the Belfast crowd can roar him to victory. “I always dreamed of headlining in Belfast and now I have the opportunity to do it for a World Title – I’m so excited,” said Burnett. “Home advantage is going to be massive. I’ve been in the opposite corner when I fought Ryan Farrag in Liverpool and experienced that side of it. I got a little taste of it when I was on the undercard when Carl Frampton boxed Scott Quigg, when I came out everyone went crazy. “That felt like a home show! It gives you that extra spring in your step, I can only imagine what it’s going to be like in front of my home fans in Belfast. I can’t wait. “Lee Haskins has been about, he’s been in the game a long time so he’s probably been in this situation before. -

Dmitry Chudinov: Thousands of Russians Will See Me Knockout Patrick Nielsen
Dmitry Chudinov: Thousands of Russians will see me knockout Patrick Nielsen Patrick Nielsen faces the toughest test of his career when he travels to Moscow to challenge Dmitry Chudinov for the interim WBA World Middleweight title. Chudinov, who is currently undefeated in fourteen professional contests, claimed the WBA interim strap with the sixth-round technical knockout of Columbian veteran Juan Camilo Novoa in December. The 27 year-old from Serpukhov, Russia has no intention of giving up his title when he meets Nielsen at the Mytishchi Arena on June 1st. ‘’This is the most important fight of my career,’’ said Chudinov. ‘’Losing for me is not an option. This is my belt and nobody is going to take it away from me. ‘’It is not just enough for me to win. I want to win convincingly. I want there to be no question that I have won. That is why I will go for the knockout. When your opponent is lying on their back there can be no question. ‘’I have a lot of respect for Patrick. He is a tall southpaw with a long reach and good boxing abilities. I am not expecting an easy fight. But I have a lot of experience fighting southpaws and I will know exactly what I need to do to beat him. ‘’He must come to Russia, to my country. I will have thousands of fans supporting me and he will have no one. Patrick is away from home for the first time in his career and I think that will be hard for him. -
