After Witnessing Her First Execution, Allison Is Called Upon When the Ghost of the Same Man Is Suspected of Murder

AFTER WITNESSING HER FIRST EXECUTION, ALLISON IS CALLED UPON WHEN THE GHOST OF THE SAME MAN IS SUSPECTED OF MURDER “A Priest, a Doctor, and a Medium Walk into an Execution Chamber” #12– Devalos decides that Allison should view an execution of a death row inmate so she can see the seriousness of her job. Meanwhile, Ariel makes a new friend at school, but Allison fears the friendship will lead to heartbreak for her daughter, on MEDIUM, Monday, March 18, 2005 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on NBC. Bill Norton directed the episode written by Chris Dingess. After witnessing an execution, Allison is surprised when she does not see the soul of the prisoner after his death. She is also haunted by strange and terrifying dreams that do not make sense. However, when the inmates ghost reappears, he is accused of a murder. Scanlon calls Allison for help, citing her expertise in the paranormal. Back at home, Allison is pleased to learn that Ariel has made a new friend, but becomes worried about she envisions her daughter being hurt by the same little boy. Allison decides to go to the crime scene to try to sense the prisoner’s ghost, but instead meets the ghost of the woman he was accused of killing. To her surprise, she learns that the death row inmate may not be dead at all. SETUP: Lincoln Jefferson is a Marine veteran who has served two combat tours in Iraq. Now stateside, he works as a custodian in a prestigious California high school- a job he secured only to ensure enrollment in the school to his 14-year old son KJ, following his divorce. One night, Lincoln and his son are stopped by police and an altercation leads to the fatal shooting of Lincoln’s unarmed son. Lincoln, hopeful the system will provide a trial, is dismayed to learn the officer responsible for pulling the trigger will go uncharged and will return to active duty without an indictment.
