Same Sky are a community-led arts organisation based in the South East and their ethos of 6 bringing people together through art making really connected with the steering group and so it has been fantastic to work with them for a second year to transform Eastbury. 3

‘Glimmer’ reimagines Eastbury Manor House through an installation in the inner courtyard and onto the chimney stacks. It is based on research and studies of the Manor, which is transformed into projected moving image. As part of the development of the piece a workshop invited visitors to make drawings, some of which have been Treasured incorporated into the installation. Eastbury Manor House Eastbury Manor House is a hidden gem. Set in tranquil gardens this Elizabethan house, in an unusual setting, is an unexpected treasure in the heart of Barking. Built between 1560 and 1573, Eastbury Hall, as it was formerly known, was built for Clement Sisley and his growing family. This rare example of a mid-16th-century brick-built Gentry house tells an extraordinary story of survival. Today Eastbury continues to house a wide range of education, arts, events and community activities.
