Relay for Life is a team fund- raising event where team mem- bers take turns walking around a track. St. Bernard Parish Schools had fourteen teams participate in the event. The Owl Basketball Team was recognized at the recent School Board Meeting for their outstanding season.

Chalmette High School’s Boys’ Basketball team had an ex- ceptional year. The team competed in the state semi-finals and was District 8-5A Champions. Coach Stockton said, “These young men worked very hard this year. While we did not make our ultimate goal of winning the state championship, we had a great season and our athletes worked really hard and we are proud of them for that.” Individual players also had outstanding years.
