This directory includes 271 members representing 120 individual libraries from 97 different institutions. It continues to provide a network for communication among us all, which enables us to further our personal growth. I would like to thank Ruth V. Oberg for her help with proofreading. This directory is available online in a continuing effort to become more “green.” We print a limited number for archival purposes and upon request for those who do not have online access. The Executive Council page reflects the officers in place for the 2020 membership year. The directory itself is in three sections. The first section is the Membership Alphabetical Listing. This section contains the members for the 2019 membership year in alphabetical order and lists their title, years of membership, Certificate of Achievement reference for those who have earned theirs, institution, library, work phone number and email address if provided. If a member has retired, we have listed the institution where they were working when they retired. The second section, or Institutional Alphabetical Listing, is a list of all represented institutions in alphabetical order with libraries, addresses and respective members. The Regional Index is third, is much the same as past years, and the New York State Regional Map follows. Also included, are three pie charts and a graph, located in related areas of the directory, so you can see where you stand in the membership ranks as far as years of membership, type of institution and representation from your region. On the Regional Representation pie chart, the regional names are included for clarification. We appreciate any comments or suggestions that will enhance future editions. Please feel free to contact me regarding any corrections or questions. Respectfully, Donna Hanna NYSLAA Membership Secretary & Chair of the Membership Committee iii Years of Membership in NYSLAA for 2019 Members 22 yrs.: 4 23 yrs.: 10 24 yrs.: 2 21 yrs.: 4 25 yrs.: 5 20 yrs.: 4 27 yrs. 0 30 yrs. 8 19 yrs.: 6 28 yrs. 3 29 yrs. 2 1816 yrs.:yrs.: 23 17 yrs.: 4 New: 62 15 yrs.: 6 2 yrs.: 24 14 yrs.: 4 13 yrs.: 9 3 yrs.: 17 12 yrs.: 7 4 yrs.: 12 11 yrs.: 9 9 yrs.: 4 5 yrs.: 19 7 yrs.: 9 6 yrs.: 9 10 yrs.: 9 8 yrs.: 9 MEMBERSHIP ALPHABETICAL LISTING Abbamonte, Claire Andrew, Judith M. NYC Official Visitor Guide A Letter from the Mayor Dear Friends: As temperatures dip, autumn turns the City’s abundant foliage to brilliant colors, providing a beautiful backdrop to the five boroughs. Neighborhoods like Fort Greene in Brooklyn, Snug Harbor on Staten Island, Long Island City in Queens and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx are rich in the cultural diversity for which the City is famous. Enjoy strolling through these communities as well as among the more than 700 acres of new parkland added in the past decade. Fall also means it is time for favorite holidays. Every October, NYC streets come alive with ghosts, goblins and revelry along Sixth Avenue during Manhattan’s Village Halloween Parade. The pomp and pageantry of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in November make for a high-energy holiday spectacle. And in early December, Rockefeller Center’s signature tree lights up and beckons to the area’s shoppers and ice-skaters. The season also offers plenty of relaxing options for anyone seeking a break from the holiday hustle and bustle.
