Payment: Irrevocable letter of credit, cash against documents or in advance after receipt of our Proforma-Invoice by sending us a cheque in EURO drawn on a German bank, remittance or by international money order. References are requested, with the first order, of firms not yet known to us. The prices in this catalogue supersede all prices quoted previously.

Pyramid Soloflex is a brilliant and articulate string of moderate tension that I found to be suitable for both arco & pizzicato playing. Fast and slow arco passages were easy to bow with clear and articulate bow changes, while pizzicato playing rang true with plenty of sustain. The higher strings were the strongest with G string maintaining great clarity and punch in the upper register, however, the lower strings tended to be less clear, with the E string lacking the same brilliant attack that the G string offers. Overall a nice string. Pyramid-Soloflex could be a good match for those who do a fair amount of cross-over playing from symphony orchestra to jazz arena. Carbon versus Nylon

Fluoro-carbon (polyvinyliden fluorid) has a higher density compared to nylon. So when replacing a nylon string with a carbon string a smaller diameter is used. This results in a decreased bending stiffness and the string vibrates more easily. This emphasizes the upper harmonics and results in a more brilliant timbre. The reduced inharmonicity is physically detectable and proven. Plain and polished carbon strings show a behavior analogue to nylon strings. The polishing is also an additional processing of the diameter. Compared to the reliable nylon strings especially the polished carbon strings are more sensitive to sharp-edged bridges and frets. But past experience has shown that this concerns only the smallest diameters.

Results: The durability of nylon strings is excellent while carbon offers a more brilliant timbre.

This return to the manufacturing process of the Fifties and Sixties results in strings which offer unbelievable tone and sustain.
