What: Do you want to learn all about Bees in our area. Join us for an exciting

adventure about pollinators, types of pollinators and ways we can help. Focus

on how to create habitat for local pollinators by planting native plants and other

habitat practices. Ms. Wixted will dissect a flower and talk about the parts and pollination. You can follow along with your own flower at home or focus on the dissection. You will be mailed everything you need to complete the Trail Adventure badge at home: your own compass, instructions, activities, craft supplies, and of course, the badge itself! Virtual Escape Room: A Trip to Mars Who: All Levels

When: July 3, 2021 1:00pm - 1:45pm Where: Virtual What: In this one time event, girl scouts will use logic and deductive reasoning to solve a perplexing mystery in space! Rumor has it that there has been some foul play on the planet Mars! After a secret mission went awry, an astronaut has gone missing. The final transmission was concerning and we were hired to investigate. Can we solve the mystery and find a way home? If your girl already loves mystery themed novels and detective shows, then this class will give her the chance to test her critical thinking skills in hypothetical situations both based in fantasy and reality. Your girl will learn how to excel in puzzles and riddles and find herself using lateral thinking to be more creative in her guesses. The puzzles and riddles will involve colors, wordplay, shapes, and elementary math. Participants will look for misdirections, and break down the steps necessary to solve the puzzles. They will share and debate hypotheses with their fellow girl scouts ultimately working together to solve the mystery before class ends. Maryland Dog Adventures Interest Indicator Who: All Levels

When: October 2021 through March 2022 Where: Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail Northern Baltimore County, MD What : Dog sledding is coming! Want to go dogsledding next winter? Now is the time to add your name to our 2021-22 dog sledding wait list (no obligation to book). Our next dog sledding season will run from October 2021 through March 2022. We will begin taking reservations in late June 2021. Our dog sledding programs are all about the dogs! Girl Scouts work closely with our team of well- behaved sled dogs harnessing, feeding, and learning all about dogsledding including: what the dogs eat; how the dogs are trained; positions on a dog team; equipment used in dog sledding; the commands used in dogsledding; and famous dog sledding events.
