J.R. Patrick Classic 3 on 3 Tournament

Rules and Regulations

 Games will be played up to 17pts (1 and 2 Pointers) with each basket scored in front of the 3 arc being worth 1 point and a basket being scored behind the 3 point arc being worth 2 points. There will be a 35 min time limit per game. If game is still tied after 35 min then first team to score a basketball wins.  When offensive team has the ball on offense and the defensive team gets possession, the defensive team must clear the ball past the 3 point line before they can score a basket. (Anytime there is a , or that team who gets the ball must clear it past the 3 point line before attempting to score)  Each player has unlimited fouls and cannot be fouled out.  After a team commits 6 team fouls a is awarded for every thereafter.  A shooting foul will result in a foul shot. If a player makes the basket while in the act of shooting in front of the 3 point line the player will be awarded with 2 points instead of a foul shot. If fouled behind the 3 point arc while in the act of shooting making the basket a player will be awarded with 3 points instead of a foul shot.  Each team will be entitled to 1 Timeout (2 min long) per game.  Substitutions can be made at any dead ball situation in the game.  Championship games will go as follows: The 18 and Over Elite and 18 and Over division will be played up to 21 points no time limit. All other divisions will be played up to 17 points no time limit. Each team in every age category will be awarded with 2 timeouts.  Technical Fouls will result in 2 free throws and possession to the other team. Slam Dunk Rules

 3 Rounds  Each player will be allowed 2 dunks per round and the dunk must go through the net to be counted.  The person with the most points at the end of 1 minute advance to the next round.  After the second round the top 2 dunkers will advance to the finals. 3 Point Rules

 3 Rounds  2 contestants will shoot at the same time on opposite ends of the court.  The Person with the most points at the end of 1 minute advance to the next round  After the second round the top 2 shooters will advance to the finals.
