The Daily Emerald recently caught up with junior offensive lineman C.E. Kaiser to ask him a few CATCHING UP WITH » questions. The 290-pound tackle from Veradale, Wash., has started both games this year and is the most experienced lineman on the team, with C.E. Kaiser 12 career starts to his name. Junior Oregon Daily Emerald: What’s your major? offensive C.E. Kaiser: Sociology. lineman C.E. ODE: What’s your favorite sport outside of football? CK: Snowboarding. I love snowboarding. ODE: Do you go up every winter to Mount Bachelor? CK: I wish. I can’t. I just don’t want to get hurt or anything. The coolest place I’ve ever been is a place up in Canada but the mountains around here are awesome too. ODE: When’s the last time you went? CK: My freshman year. I went home for Christmas and went once, but not since then. ODE: Describe the feeling of running out the tunnel on game day. CK: I like to keep mellow. The tunnel is black so it’s calming, then we run out and the fans are excited so we get excited. But it’s a mellow excitement for me. ODE: What’s it like on the offensive line with all the noise? CK: It’s weird because it’s a dull loud. It is loud, but it’s not like piercing loud so you can’t hear anything on offense.
