INVESTORS NYSE WELCOMES AMERICAN HOMES 4 RENT TO THE NEW YORK ON ITS FIRST DAY AS A PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY

August 1, 2013 NEW YORK, August 1, 2013 - Agoura Hills, Calif.-based American Homes 4 Rent, a real estate investment trust specializing in single-family rental, opened for trading today on the (NYSE) under the ticker symbol "AMH" after its initial public offering. Barclays is the Designated Market Maker for the company's stock.

CEO David Singelyn, accompanied by members of American Homes 4 Rent's leadership team, celebrated the company's first day of trading by ringing the NYSE Opening BellĀ® and visiting the trading floor for the stock opening.
