Perspective: Delta Creates Domestic Hub at LaGuardia March 2012 Gail Grimmett, Senior Vice President - New York In This Issue: is embarking on a historic expansion to create a Perspective domestic hub at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Product/Service/Network It is the largest expansion at the iconic airport in Partner News more than 40 years. We will gain 116 slot pairs for a total of about 260 this year. These slots will allow us to schedule additional flights, which means more choices and convenience for the business traveler. Delta will invest $160 million to enhance two terminals at LaGuardia and build a connector bridge to link them. We will also double the number of non- stop destinations we serve from LaGuardia. When the full schedule is implemented in July, Delta will operate more than 260 daily flights between LaGuardia and more than 60 cities, exceeding any other carrier. As part of the new service, Delta will fly a combination of narrow body and regional jets. Many of the regional jets will have First Class sections. Wi-Fi will be available on all two- class regional jets by this summer so you can dash off an email or update a presentation in-flight. Upon arrival at LaGuardia, customers will enjoy the airport’s easy access to and from Manhattan. They can also connect to business markets through LaGuardia such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Miami, Washington-Dulles, Syracuse, N.Y., Buffalo, N.Y., Rochester, N.Y., Richmond, Va., Norfolk, Va., Manchester N.H., Burlington, Vt., Greensboro, N.C., and Louisville, Ky. On July 11, Delta will launch the second phase of the LaGuardia expansion. New routes to be added include Denver, Houston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Wis., Charlotte, N.C., Wilmington, N.C., Roanoke, Va., Charlottesville, Va., and Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The increased number of new flights is part of our significant expansion in New York. Delta will boost service at LaGuardia by 60 percent, with 100 new flights and 26 new destinations in spring and summer 2012. Delta will offer up to four million additional seats without adding to congestion because we will use larger regional jets. We have also enhanced the Delta Shuttle departure times to make it easier to catch a flight, with on-the-hour service from LaGuardia to and Washington, D.C. We have added an extra flight to -O’Hare and we leave on the quarter hour to that important business market. The expanded service at LaGuardia will help us achieve our goal of making Delta the preferred airline for business customers traveling to and from New York.

Delta Launches Historic New Jet Service from New York-LaGuardia

Largest expansion at the airport in more than four decades

Delta Air Lines began service to 12 new cities from New York-LaGuardia as it embarks on the largest expansion of the New York City airport in more than 40 years.

The new flights are part of a major expansion by Delta in New York to create a domestic hub in the busiest aviation market in the world. The airline will increase service at LaGuardia by 60 percent, with 100 new flights and 26 new destinations in spring and summer 2012. When its full schedule is implemented, Delta will operate more than 260 daily flights between LaGuardia and more than 60 cities, exceeding any other carrier.

Customers can now connect to new business markets through LaGuardia, including Dallas/Ft. Worth; Miami; Washington-Dulles; Syracuse, N.Y.; Buffalo, N.Y.; Rochester, N.Y.; Richmond, Va.; Norfolk, Va.; Manchester, N.H.; Burlington, Vt.; Greensboro, N.C.; and Louisville, Ky.

Delta will offer up to four million additional seats in New York without added congestion.

Increased Frequencies

To further enhance its new domestic hub, Delta has increased frequencies from LaGuardia to cities that include Fort Lauderdale; Orlando; Jacksonville, Fla.; Ft. Myers, Fla.; Indianapolis; Kansas City; Chicago; Nashville; Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Greenville, S.C.; Columbia, S.C.; Portland, Me.; and Bangor, Me.

Enhanced Customer Experience

Delta will operate some of the new LaGuardia routes with regional jets that offer First Class as well as Economy and in-flight Wi-Fi, amenities that other carriers don’t offer. Regional jets are a significant upgrade from previous service on some routes operated by another carrier using smaller, turboprop aircraft.

Delta is also investing $160 million to modernize two terminals at LaGuardia and build a connector between them, a project that will provide construction jobs for city residents along with the roughly 700 permanent jobs Delta will add at the airport.

Phase Two

By mid-summer, LaGuardia will serve nearly all of the top domestic markets. On July 11 2012, Delta will initiate Phase Two of the LaGuardia expansion, with new routes to: Denver; Houston; Cleveland; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Milwaukee, Wis.; Charlotte, N.C.; Wilmington, N.C.; Roanoke, Va.; Charlottesville, Va.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Montreal, Quebec; and Ottawa, Ontario.

Delta Offers Helpful Tips for Customers at LaGuardia

The following updates and tips may be helpful for customers traveling to, from or through LaGuardia:

 Flights will now arrive and depart from Delta’s new gates in Terminal C, as well as existing gates in Terminal D. Delta Shuttle service to and from Boston, Washington-Reagan and Chicago-O'Hare will continue to operate from the .  Gates 1-10 are located in Terminal D and gates C15-C24 are located in Terminal C.  Customers can visit delta.com or the Fly Delta mobile app for information prior to arriving at the airport to help expedite check-in.  During airport renovations, after passing through security, a short, two-minute or less bus ride will transport passengers between Terminals C and D. Please see bus information below. By the end of 2012, a quick and convenient walkway will be in place connecting the two terminals.  Terminal C will feature a new Delta Sky Club, which is set to open this summer and will complement the existing lounge in Terminal D.

Departures

 If a customer’s flight is departing from Terminal C or D, he or she may check in and proceed through security at either terminal.  Once security is cleared, Delta representatives and signage will direct customers to their terminal.

Arrivals and Connections

 For terminating passengers, baggage claim is located on the lower level and their carousel will be located in the same terminal of arrival.  If customers parked at LaGuardia and their flight arrives at a different terminal from where the vehicle is located, they may ride the Port Authority bus located on the arrivals level or take a short walk to the other terminal after claiming bags.  To find connecting flights, customers may check airport screens and follow signs to the appropriate terminal and gate. In addition, Delta representatives, including Delta Red Coat Customer Service Agents, will be available to offer one-on-one, on-the-spot assistance.

Bus Information

At LaGuardia, Delta is providing two main types of bus service. Gate-to-Gate buses operate after the security checkpoint, from inside the terminals. Curb-to-Curb buses operate before the security checkpoint, from outside of the terminals.

Gate-to-Gate Bus Service

For a quick bus ride between Terminals C and D, customers can hop onboard at Gate 15 in Terminal C or Gate 2 in Terminal D. Signage within each concourse will direct customers to these locations. Please note that this bus service is inside the terminals, past security.

Curb-to-Curb Bus Service

These buses operate from the curbside of the departure levels of Terminals C and D and are available to take customers between terminals, as well as to airport parking lots. Two bus routes are available:

 Route One: A continuous loop between Terminal C and Terminal D. Travel time = 4 - 5 minutes, depending on airport traffic.  Route Two: A continuous loop between Terminal C, Terminal D and the Marine Air Terminal. Travel time = 8 - 10 minutes, depending on airport traffic.

Delta representatives will be available to assist customers at the pick-up and drop-off locations of all bus services. Representatives are also available onboard the Curb-to- Curb buses.

Delta is confident this transition will result in better service for all of its customers traveling through LaGuardia.

Delta Adjusts Shuttle Departure Times to Better Serve Business Travelers

Delta is pleased to announce adjustments to the Delta Shuttle schedule for flights effective March 25, 2012. The revised departure times for the Delta Shuttle between New York LaGuardia and Boston, Washington, D.C. Reagan National and Chicago O’Hare are designed to better serve business travelers in these markets.

The new departure times for the Shuttle will be as follows:

 Flights between New York–LGA and Boston will depart at the top of the hour

 Flights between New York–LGA and Washington, D.C. – DCA will depart at the top of the hour

 Flights from New York–LGA to Chicago O’Hare will depart on the quarter hour

 Flights from Chicago O’Hare to LGA will depart on the half hour

Delta to Bring Renowned Chefs, Fresh Food and Beverage Options to Expanded Terminal C at New York's LaGuardia

Delta announced its renovated and expanded domestic hub in Terminal C at New York's LaGuardia airport will offer five chef-driven restaurants, an expansive food hall, fresh markets, the integration of Apple iPads, pop-up retail stores and concierge services for frequent fliers on the go. Building on Delta's successful dining experience in Terminal D at LaGuardia, the new program at Terminal C brings together culinary talent, with names such as Andrew Zimmern, Andrew Carmellini, Anne Burrell and Aaron Sanchez. Delta previously announced the largest single expansion by any carrier at LaGuardia in four decades, with total flights increasing by more than 60 percent, and total destinations growing more than 75 percent. By summer 2012, Delta will operate 264 daily flights between LaGuardia and more than 60 cities, more than any other airline. Delta again has selected OTG Management to lead the enhanced dining experience at Terminal C. Delta's LaGuardia dining enhancements follow similar upgrades to its concourse and gate areas at Terminals 2 and 3 at John F. Kennedy International Airport and Concourse G at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Six renowned New York-based chefs will open full-service, exclusive restaurants in Terminal C, and an additional five chefs and two beverage consultants have developed cafes which will appear in the food halls of the airline's redesigned Terminal C. The dining concepts will open in phases over 18 months with temporary structures with full menus opening as "Taste Of" concepts in late-March 2012. Delta and New York: JFK Terminal 4 Expansion Reaches Halfway Mark

The 1.2 billion expansion of Terminal 4 at New York-JFK is now "halfway completed," according to the construction project's leader. Harry Olsen, managing director- Corporate Real Estate, made the declaration to a group of journalists from Latin America who visited the Terminal 4 construction site.

New ATL International Terminal Will Open May 16

Officials from Delta, the city of and the Atlanta airport announced March 13 that the new Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, named for the late former mayor of Atlanta who was a promoter of the airport, will open May 16.

Delta operates more than 90% of Atlanta’s daily passenger departures. The company will add several hundred employees to support its six priority gates at the facility and the new, 12,500-square-foot Delta Sky Club, which will accommodate 300 guests.

The new terminal will consolidate all of Delta’s international operations to Concourses E and F, reducing the time it takes customers to check in and walk to international gates. Also, most important for arriving Atlanta customers, they will no longer need to re-check their bags to exit the airport.

KLM Begins DFW Service on April 30, 2012

KLM returns to Dallas/Ft. Worth for the summer 2012 season beginning on April 30, 2012, with nonstop service to Amsterdam five times a week through October 26, 2012. The route will utilize an Airbus A330-200 that will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The state-of-the-art widebody aircraft will offer a total of 292 seats in two classes with 30 in World Business Class seats and 262 seats in Economy Class. Passengers will also have the option of sitting in the Economy Comfort zone, located in the front of the Economy cabin. As the only nonstop service between the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and the Netherlands, the flight will offer a critical link for both corporate and leisure travelers. Passengers will be able to make seamless connections at KLM's award-winning Amsterdam-Schiphol hub to destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

KLM Begins Luanda Service, Lusaka to begin in May

KLM continues to grow its African network with two new destinations being introduced this year. On March 27 KLM began service between is global hub in Amsterdam and Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport in Luanda, Angola. The route is operated twice weekly by an Airbus A330-200 configured for 243 passengers in both World Business Class and Economy Class with an Economy Comfort zone. Luanda is a key destination for energy professionals and is currently is served twice weekly by JV partner, . On May 15 KLM will launch service between Amsterdam and Lusaka in response to customer demand. The capital city of Zambia, next door to Angola, is also experiencing rapid economic growth. The route will be served three times per week with an Airbus A330-200 with both World Business Class and Economy Class cabins.

Africa has long been a critical part of KLM’s global network and together with its partner it will offer 89 flights a week between Europe and Africa.

Air France Malabo Service Up-gauged to Boeing 777 for Summer 2012

Malabo, Equatorial Guinea is an important West African destination for professionals working in the petroleum industry. Effective April 16, 2012, the Paris-Malabo route will be up-gauged to a daily widebody Boeing 777-300ER and combined with Douala as a tail-end (CDG-Douala-Malabo). The route is currently served by daily Dedicate A319 service. In response to customer demand, Air France will now offer passengers to Malabo a full range of in-flight products with: La Première (First Class), Affaires (Business Class), Premium Voyageur (Premium Economy) and Voyageur (Economy Class).

New Air France A380 Deliveries

During summer 2012, two new Airbus A380s will join Air France’s long haul fleet, bringing the total number in the fleet to eight. A380 #7 will be allocated to the Paris- Tokyo route effective April 23, 2012, a route previously utilizing an A380 which was reallocated to adjust capacity to seasonal demand. A380 #8 is expected to be delivered in May, and will be allocated on the Paris-Los Angeles route beginning May 28, 2012. Currently New York, Washington-Dulles, Montreal and Johannesburg are all served by Air France A380s.

Air France Champagne Wins Top Prize

The Champagne served by Air France in La Première First Class has been awarded a top by prize by the leading British magazine Business Traveller. The contest rewards the best wines served in the premium cabins of major international airlines. The winning Champagne is the Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2000, which has been served on board in First Class cabin since December 2012 and which was chosen for Air France’s wine advisor, Olivier Poussier, who has previously been nominated the world’s best sommelier.

New Embraer Aircraft, “Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre” Joins the Alitalia Fleet

A new Embraer E-175 aircraft has recently joined the Alitalia fleet. The aircraft was given the name “Parco Nazionale delle Cinque Terre” and is dedicated to the five villages recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sites include: Corniglia, Manarola, Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore and Vernazza, which were severely affected by the floods of October 2011.

The new Alitalia Embraer provides more effective energy and environmental efficiency, along with up to 35% less fuel consumption compared to the MD-80, which is to be phased out. The Alitalia fleet renewal will continue this year with the arrival of 20 aircraft for short, medium and long haul flights.

SkyTeam Begins Rolling Out Sky Priority for Top Customers

SkyTeam is rolling out Sky Priority, a series of distinctively-branded priority airport services offered to SkyTeam Elite Plus members, as well as First and Business Class customers, across its global alliance. The expansion of Sky Priority means that qualifying customers will start to experience a consistent set of premium airport services when flying on SkyTeam airlines.

The Sky Priority suite of services that qualifying Delta customers currently enjoy will expand to other SkyTeam airline partners, including KLM, Air France, Alitalia, and , along with 800 airports over the next several months. By early 2013, these services will be available at more than 1,000 airports around the globe.

Vietnam Airlines to Become No. 2 Carrier in Southeast Asia

SkyTeam member aims to become Southeast Asia’s second largest airline by the end of the decade, as it more than double its fleet in a bid to surpass Thai Airways and Malaysian Airline System, according to Bloomberg.

VNA plans to expand its fleet to 115 aircraft by 2015 and 170 by 2020, with new, modern aircraft such as Airbus A320neo and A350, and Boeing 787s. The company also said it will postpone plans for an initial public offering until the second half of next year from this year because the “market is not yet attractive to investors.”
