RULES 1.1 ThisRegattawillbegovernedbytherulesasdefinedinTheRacingRulesofSailing(RRS).To theextentpermittedbyPart7oftheRRS,specificprovisionsoftheRRSmaybemodified, alteredormadeinoperativebytheNoticeofRace(NOR)ortheSailingInstructions(SI). 1.2 The International Dinghy Association Class Rules, the Rules of the Class Association, the Rules of the Hobie Cats Association, the Class International Racing Association (SCIRA) and the Rules of the Class International Racing Association, exceptasanyofthesearealteredbythisNoticeofRaceand/orbytheSailingInstructions. 2. ELIGIBILITYANDENTRY 2.1 TheregattaisopentoallboatsoftheOptimist,Laser,Hobie16,SunfishandSnipesclasses. ParticipantsMUSTbeactivemembersofitsClassAssociation(RRS75.2). 2.2 Therewillbe6(six)divisionsforentry. DISCLAIMEROFLIABILITY 12.1 Competitors agree to be bound by the International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing(RRS),bytheSailingInstructionsandtheNoticeofRace.Competitorsagreetotake anyandallresponsibilityforthenauticalqualitiesoftheirvessels,the,thecrew's abilityandthesafetyequipment.Competitorsalsoagreetotakeanyandallresponsibility fordamagescausedtothirdpersons(bodilyinjuryincludedbutnotlimitedthereto)ortheir belongings, to themselves (bodily injury included but not limited thereto) or to their belongings, ashore and at sea as a consequence of their participation in the regatta, relievingofanyresponsibilityTheFederacióndeVeladePuertoRicoOrganizationandall personsinvolvedintheorganizationunderwhateverqualification.Competitorsaretobe acquainted with ISAF RRS Part 1 Fundamental Rule 4: "The responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone".In any case, competitorsagreethatTheFederacióndeVeladePuertoRicoOrganization,thesponsors andtheiragents,havenoresponsibilityforlossoflifeorinjurytomembersorothersorfor thelossof,ordamagetoanyvesselorproperty.Aspartoftheregistrationprocess,each individual participating crewmember will be required to sign a declaration accepting this disclaimerofliability.
