JOHN MAZZONI President, The Art Institutes Senior Vice President, Operations, Education Management Corporation (EDMC)

John Mazzoni was named as President of The Art Institutes in October 2005. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Mazzoni served on EDMC’s executive committee as Senior Vice President, Group Operations, overseeing the implementation of operating plans for all the Company's schools including The Art Institutes, Argosy University, Brown Mackie College and South University. In his previous role as Senior Vice President, Group Operations, Mr. Mazzoni worked extensively with the presidents of each of The Art Institutes schools.

Mr. Mazzoni has gained his vast knowledge of the company through working in a wide variety of senior level management positions including Group Vice President and management positions in Operations, Finance and Information Systems. With more than 20 years of experience in operations, management, business administration and finance at EDMC, Mr. Mazzoni brings substantial leadership, experience and perspective to The Art Institutes presidency. Before joining EDMC in 1987 he held a financial systems position at Mellon Bank. Mr. Mazzoni earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
