Jamie Hay I’m a BAFTA award-winning documentary editor for The Nazis a Warning from History. My strengths are managing the mass of rushes and helping to find the story line through them, developing the characters and finding the humour in things. I started my career at the BBC working on the science strand Horizon and history strand Timewatch as well as 40 Minutes and Modern Times, since then I have worked for all the major broadcasters, from helping first time directors on the series 4Real to observational series like Living on the Edge, where Chris Terrill explores the lives of Reindeer herders in the Arctic circle, West African fishermen and desert nomads. More recently I edited Broadmoor, the first programme ever made inside the infamous psychiatric hospital, The Last Dukes a documentary looking at the remaining 24 Dukes of England, Reinventing the Royals, Steve Hewlett’s charting of the 20 year battle between the Royal family and the press and Great Canal Journeys where and Prunella Scales travel through Venice and Sweden, revealing some quirky bits of history as well as their relationship along the way.
