YOUR WATERWAYS (EAST MIDLANDS)

Terms & conditions

1. Applications must relate to waterways owned and managed by the Canal & River Trust in the East Midlands. These are:

• Chesterfield Canal (Kiveton Park to West Stockwith) • Canal ( and Lower Hartshay) • Fossdyke Navigation • & Beeston Canal • Grantham Canal • Trent & Mersey Canal (Derwent Mouth to Dove Aqueduct) • Line (Grand Union Canal) • ( to Trent Falls) • navigation ( to Kilby Bridge) • River Witham (Lincoln to Boston) • Butterley Reservoir • Harthill Reservoir • Pebley Reservoir • Denton / Knipton Reservoir

2. Proposed projects must take place on land owned by the Canal & River Trust. If you are unsure whether your proposed location is eligible please contact [email protected] for clarification. Please note that land ownership on river navigations is generally limited to Canal & River Trust lock sites.

3. Applications from new groups will be prioritised. If your group is already working with us and your application covers a project / activity developed in conjunction with a new group we will take this into consideration.

4. Applications from groups based within 5 miles of our waterways (as listed above) and with a strong community focus will be prioritised. The Canal & River Trust reserves the right to reject any application.

5. Applications from groups wishing to develop closer links with the Canal & River Trust through ongoing volunteering to support their local waterway will be prioritised.

6. The scheme will initially run for one year (2017-18) and funding is limited. Applications must be received by 31st January 2018. A scoring system will be used to prioritise projects / activities to be supported through the scheme.

7. Any activities provided through the scheme will take place as close to the community as possible. It may not be possible to offer all activities in all areas and some travel may be required.

8. All decisions made by the Canal & River Trust in respect of this scheme are final.
