Gas to light up Introduction Seven Energy is the leading integrated gas company in south east Nigeria, with oil and gas interests in the region. We have developed and operate a gas processing and transportation infrastructure network at a cost of over US$1billion comprising a 200 million standard cubic feet per day processing facility and 260km of main gas pipelines capable of transporting 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

Investment in infrastructure

Seven Energy gas pipeline Seven Energy oil pipeline The Uquo Gas Processing Facility is the sole source NGC gas pipeline of gas used by the Ibom Power Plant, Ikot Abasi for 3rd party gas pipeline power generation. The Ibom Power plant has the capacity to generate 190 MW of electricity at peak load.

Seven Energy recently commissioned a 68 km, 24 inch Uquo to Creek Town pipeline. This pipeline will provide a continuous flow of gas from the Uquo field in Akwa Ibom state to NIPP , and can add up to 560 MW to the national Grid. Construction of the pipeline included completion of the longest horizontal directional drilling (HDD) river crossing project in Africa, all done using local contractors. This project contributes to the economic integration of the region.

Seven Energy has demonstrated that indigenous companies can raise the necessary capital and with the cooperation of the Government help to make the ‘gas to power’ initiative a reality and drive the industrialisation of Nigeria.
