Ehire Adrianza broke his foot April 14 at Colorado after fouling a ball off his back foot in the eighth inning...a second set of diag- nostic tests revealed the fracture...he could come back sometime later this month.

Matt Cain was placed on the 15-day DL May 28 after leaving his last start after 1.2 innings with a strained right hamstring. Angel Pagan re-injured his left hamstring May 23 while running to first base...had missed 11 games from May 2-12 with a Grade 1 hamstring strain (left)...is on track to be reinstated in about a week. Hunter Pence was placed on the 15-day DL on June 2 with a right hamstring strain, an injury he suffered the prior day in Atlanta after running down the first baseline on a grounder to third with two outs in the fourth inning…he pulled up about two-thirds of the way to first base and grabbed his right leg…he was escorted off the field immediately by Giants head trainer Dave Groe- schner and was replaced in right field by Jarrett Parker…Pence had missed six starts from May 21-27 with the same injury...is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday to remove a tendon and could miss the next eight weeks of the season.
