Convocation Ceremony Nh{Kkar Lekjksg CONVOCATION CEREMONY-2016 CONVOCATION CEREMONY nh{kkar lekjksg 8TH OCTOBER, 2016 CONVOCATION CEREMONY-2016 Vision • To emerge as a global hub of knowledge creation, cutting edge research & development and the centre for development of skills to create entrepreneurs capable of contributing to different fields. • To emerge as a preferred choice for students at global level to pursue their passion would help develop them as leaders in their respective fields. Mission Our mission is to advance, network and disseminate knowledge in a way that helps in creating contributing citizens to global society. We aim at delivering knowledge that blends academic rigour, curiosity and intellectual simulation. Education at ITM University Gwalior should help students becoming capable of judicious introspection and objective reflection. Our students are expected to be capable of raising pertinent questions, challenging status-quo, change-catalyst, serve as team players, have quest for life-long learning, aim realizing their full potential and have an intent of serving society. This is a very special day in your life. When our generation graduated, India was a third world country. When you are graduating, everyone expects India to be the third most powerful country in the world. And my friends, it is you, who will be charged with building this great future of our great nation. You all are also entering a world, which is exciting as well as challenging. I say challenging, since we realize that we are living in a VUCA world, which is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. They say that institutions can’t build the future of the young, but they can build the young for the future. Mashelkar) CONVOCATION CEREMONY-2016 CHANCELLOR Chancellor’s Message The ITM University, Gwalior is organizing the first Convocation on October 8, 2016 for awarding degrees to thousands of students who have successfully completed their respective degree programs. It is the occasion on which the graduands rejoice the thrills of their academic journey and feel proud to be dynamic young professionals who are ready to perform and lead. It is also the time for all the students to express gratitude towards their parents and teachers who have been a constant source of inspiration and support in shaping their career. On this important graduation ceremony, I would like to encourage all my dear students to set very high standards for themselves and strive to achieve them, give away short-term comfort for long-term benefits, live a life of pride and self- satisfaction and actively exchange ideas, as good idea has wings that flies at the speed of light. I am confident that the Vision under which this University is founded will inspire all young graduates and transform them into leading professionals and scientists to steer India as world leader and rule the Knowledge Society.     Current Affairs 2013- January International The Fourth Meeting of ASEAN and India Tourism Minister was held in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 21 January, in conjunction with the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2013. The Meeting was jointly co-chaired by Union Tourism Minister K.Chiranjeevi and Prof. Dr. Bosengkham Vongdara, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lao PDR. Both the Ministers signed the Protocol to amend the Memorandum of Understanding between ASEAN and India on Strengthening Tourism Cooperation, which would further strengthen the tourism collaboration between ASEAN and Indian national tourism organisations. The main objective of this Protocol is to amend the MoU to protect and safeguard the rights and interests of the parties with respect to national security, national and public interest or public order, protection of intellectual property rights, confidentiality and secrecy of documents, information and data. Both the Ministers welcomed the adoption of the Vision Statement of the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit held on 20 December 2012 in New Delhi, India, particularly on enhancing the ASEAN Connectivity through supporting the implementation of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity. The Ministers also supported the close collaboration of ASEAN and India to enhance air, sea and land connectivity within ASEAN and between ASEAN and India through ASEAN-India connectivity project. In further promoting tourism exchange between ASEAN and India, the Ministers agreed to launch the ASEAN-India tourism website (www.indiaasean.org) as a platform to jointly promote tourism destinations, sharing basic information about ASEAN Member States and India and a visitor guide.
