Le Concordia s'est relevé, et GTA V est officiellement en vente. C'est aussi le jour choisi par Jack Johnson, Hawaïen de 38 ans, ex-futur champion de surf, reconverti artiste, pour sortir son 6e album, From Here to Now to You. Après écoute, l'été ne me semble plus si loin finalement. Aussi bon que ses prédécesseurs [caption id="attachment_5971" align="alignleft" width="150"] La guitare est la base des compositions de Jack Johnson.[/caption] Avant de se concentrer sur les morceaux, mieux vaut reprendre par le début. Le jeune Jack, fils d'un pionnier du surf, semble promis à une belle carrière professionnelle sur sa planche. Une violente chute contre un récif l'amène à réfléchir. Il s'éloigne du haut niveau, et se consacre à des études de cinéma. Dans le même temps, Jack touche de plus en plus à la gratte, et se met même à composer. Tout doucement, il se forge une petite réputation, et, une fois diplômé, se consacre à un film sur le surf, Thicker Than Water, dont il réalise la bande-son. Tout s'accélère, Jack devient papa, sa musique plaît à ses amis, dont un certain Ben Harper, et en 2001, il sort finalement Brushfire Fairytales. Les ventes aux Etats-Unis dépassent le million en moins d'un an. Et dire que Jack ne se voyait pas musicien. Douze ans plus tard, From Here to Now to You 1 / 2 Analyze Thiz Lire Autrement http://analyzethiz.fr est donc son 6e album. En 12 titres et 41 minutes, Jack Johnson m'a convaincu. Oui, From Here to Now to You est aussi bon que ses prédécesseurs. Oui, Jack maîtrise les sonorités acoustiques comme personne, et oui, j'ai envie de me mettre au surf maintenant. I Got You, premier titre, ouvre délicatement l'album. Comme d'habitude, Jack et sa guitare assurent le boulot. On perçoit aussi que sa voix est doublée: l'une grave, l'autre plus aiguë, et le tout se laisse très bien écouter. D'ailleurs, ce n'est pas pour rien qu'il s'agit du premier single. Washing Dishes, second titre, est bien plus entraînant. Premier coup de cœur. Shot Reverse Shot se veut de la même trempe. Les rythmes sont variés, et la voix de Jack Johnson entêtante. Never Fade se pose en balade pour les amoureux. Les paroles sont on ne peut plus clair: . Cinquième titre, Tape Deck, raconte comment lui et ses amis ont montés un groupe plutôt bancal, avec une guitare à 50$ et un batteur qui ne sait pas jouer. Là encore, il s'agit d'un de ses morceaux les plus énergiques - si j'ose dire. Deuxième coup de cœur. Un sixième morceau, qui passe un peu plus inaperçu que les précédents. As I Was Saying, en numéro sept, se révèle être une autre de ces ballades caractéristiques de l'Hawaïen, douce, tout comme You Remind Me Of You, le morceau suivant. Le deuxième single, Radiate, n'est pas le titre le plus marquant, mais cela ne signifie pas qu'il faut le zapper. Nouvelles balades des plus calmes, avec Ones And Zeros et Change où les accords de guitare sont mis à l'honneur. From Here to Now to You se conclut sur la chanson Home, dernière balade entraînante sur la nature. Énième preuve que l'ancien surfeur se soucie de l'environnement. Au final, From Here to Now to You se révèle être un album d'une grande qualité. Jack Johnson, comme à l'accoutumée, parvient à nous faire voyager par-delà les mers, jusqu'à son île natale, le tout à l'aide de quelques accords et de sons acoustiques. The team was led by Guangwen Tang, an associate profes- sor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. Golden Rice, which contains beta car- otene, was developed as a solution for Vitamin A deficiency in children, Kritz told the Daily in an email. Such deprivation causes blindness in approximately 250,000 children annually, and about half of those children die within a year as a result of the sight loss. During the 2008 study, researchers gave 72 primary school children in China’s Hunan province rations of the modified rice, according to a Sept. 18 article in ScienceInsider. All children were between the ages of six and eight years old. On Sept. 17 of this year, Tufts issued an email statement to media outlets standing by the findings of the study, but conceding an ethical violation. “While the study data were validated and no health or safety concerns were identified, the research itself was found not to have been conducted in full com- pliance with [institutional review board (IRB)] policy or federal regulations,” the university said in the statement.

After developing these sketches into pixel-perfect digital comps, the interactive album should be built and programmed in Flash as a desktop application. The stripped-down production focuses on Johnson’s formula of rhythmic guitar and calm, contemplative lyrics, with which the band has found considerable success. Each of the album’s songs features a distinct riff-driven melody to cradle Jack’s warm voice and thoughtful lyrics. But we all know that happy songs aren't always the best songs and that's not lost on Johnson, a guy whose soft voice and delicate melodies make many of his songs sound like lullabies (and the whimsical tunes he wrote for the soundtrack for the 2006 film Curious George certainly fit that bill).
