A requirement to have HACCP certification is to have a Cleaning and Disinfection Plan. This plan must guarantee that the organization’s processes of production, warehousing, and transportation are safe, documenting the method and frequency of cleaning, through the implementation of professional color coded cleaning tools to avoid cross contamination. Even if this method is used mainly in industries where hygiene is extremely important, it is recommended for many other areas, such as: homes, schools, coffee shops, and stores, among others.
