I feel slightly jealous when I look at the progress made in and tooting with numerous bars, resturants etc.yet I had the opportunity to live there and did not I'd really like to better informed as to what the plans are for regeneration, I refer you to the last more because of the underlying great things about morden including its transport links, green spaces, lack of morden meeting where the next actions are: 1. Set up partnerships 2. Agree a process for appointing a heavy congestion. Living in Morden feels like the place you move to because you can't afford to be in development partner 3. Procure an appoint development partner I'm not meaning to sound negative those other locations, and that shouldn't be the case ‐ it has its own merit and its up to all of us to make here, but if I told this list of action to my Clients (I work for BT) they would most almost certainly replace sure that happens. I would like to have a town centre where people can meet and socialise in the me and my company with someone else. We clearly do not have that option ‐ but how about evenings and weekends, a decent coffee shop, open later into the night and a few bars and restaurants communicating some time scales, transparency around funding and where there are challenges. There rather than having to go to tooting, Wimbledon, . It feels like Colliers wood, and are more than enough people who I've met who feel this way ‐ and if there is something that we can do Sutton are all progressing in their respective regeneration plans and we are stuck. We apparently have a into this whole debate about retailers not wanting to move in until there is sufficient footfall, I'm sure housing crisis, Morden has loads of development potential ‐ particularly for flats as it is not so densly that there are things that the council can do to encourage businesses into the area. Cars speed through, its noisy and heavily polluted. The gyratory system also needs to go because it encourages speeding around the town centre which isnt only dangerous but also very noisy for residents and if you are in a restaurant around the gyratory system. There needs to be a much lower speed limit in the area The bus waiting infront of the station is terrible as it is always busy and people queue in the as cars are going way too fast and so are motorbikes as well as the need for traffic cameras to middle of the road. The centre of town should ideally be pavement only and direct the A24 6540834165 Yes Yes Yes Yes No discourage from speeding. Yes Yes Yes maybe more behind morden hall park. It would be great to have more resturant’s, bars, shops (various shops, rather than the ones we have now) there is not much variety. It would be lovely to have more coffee shops that are mum friendly. So much potential for this area to be developed as much more than the end of the line. Would love to see the 1920 ‐ 30’s garden suburb theme that brought the tube here developed and used as a basis to The position of Morden and it’s transport links for this area offer so much potential, I really hope this will improve the town and build new but sensitively designed housing and public spaces. The issue we have in Morden is that as stated it is a pass through town. People jump off the tube and straight onto a bus, on average people spend 7 mins in Morden. With 27000 people using the tube (weekly, daily... apologies I can't remember off the top of my head) Morden should be booming for business, instead it is suffering. Not one business owner I have spoken to has had an east time in morden. The use of Abbotsbury road as a councillors car park is also unacceptable. The one way street is completely backwards in my view. It's not a through road, It takes you to no designation you cannot get to quicker than if you are already at The entrance. It's a triangle, This should he another heaving part of Morden, it houses many restaurants which don't see full potential due to the road being taken up by parking or restrictions... This road has been completely forgotten, which us odd due to it being 6527562295 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes accessible from the bottom of the highstreet. Yes Yes Yes

And to make an absolute priority that small, local business is neither priced out or frozen out. As soon as A tram going to Sutton from Morden Road will produce enormous traffic congestion. These are Make the surrounding roads have a decent traffic flow plan to stop them from becoming rat runs don’t the big chains rumble into town us small fry don’t stand a chance in competing with them viz on rental main arterial routes out of london and need to be kept clear. A viable alternative would be to let the non driving, cycling idiot who devised the traffic scheme on the industrial estate at South 6527550218 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes of business property. Morden needs better retail outlets in order to attract visitors to the Centre e.g. M&S, clothes shops, if one of these major outlets opens with the town centre it would probably attract others. It is also important that a Police hub remains within the town centre in order to continue the great work done by the Safer Neighbourhood teams, especially if the town centre is going to become busier with the increased footfall from potential new visitors. Also with the additional of new retail businesses, as they have done with Wimbledon, organise a LOVE MORDEN group to work in partnership with the Council, 6527487612 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Police and other relevant partners to ensure Morden is a safe, lively and attractive place to visit.
