These writ petitions are filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorari canceling the conversion orders dated 8.11.2004, 7.12.2004, 3.1.2005, 13.9.2004, 20.7.2004 & 14.3.2005 and 8.11.2004 issued by the R1 Spl. Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore vide Annexure-C1 to C7 respectively and etc.

These writ petitions, coming on for preliminary hearing this day, the Court made the following:

O R D E R

Smt.Prathima Honnapura, learned Government Pleader is directed to take notice for the respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Sri

M.N.Kumar is directed to take notice for the respondent No.3.

Notice to the other respondents is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner has called into question the Special Deputy

Commissioner’s orders (Annexures C1 to C7), granting the permission for converting the lands from agricultural to non- agricultural purpose to the respondent Nos. 8 to 11.

3. I am disinclined to entertain these petitions on merits on the short ground of the availability of the alternative remedy. Keeping all the contentions open and reserving the liberty to the petitioner to avail of the remedy of filing an appeal before the Karnataka

Appellate Tribunal invoking Section 49 of the Karnataka Land

Revenue Act, 1964, these petitions are rejected. No order as to costs.
