1. What is the warranty Period? Per Article 8 of the General Conditions, warranty period is one year from substantial completion.

2. When does the City anticipate the project to start? Mid to late February.

3. Is this a prevailing wage project? No.

4. What is the embankment 6 Cy for? The new landscaped area in the extended median would need a little material in it before putting the seed or mulch on top of it. The existing medians appear to be rounded up a little bit. It was anticipated that after the pavement was removed, and built the , there would be void in the new median. The estimate of 6cy may be off a little depending the contractors construction methods, but it should be pretty close. The exhibits below show the areas where fill will be needed.

5. How thick is the existing pavement? It is estimated that the existing concrete pavement is 12” thick.

6. Can both Islands be worked on at the same time or is the intent to do one and then the other to minimize disruption? Both medians can be worked on at the same time providing all MUTCD are followed.

8. Is this project tax exempt? No, Commerce City projects are not tax exempt.

9. Are any control BMPS, like a Concrete washout, to be incidental to the project? Contractor will be required to provide appropriate BMP’s and proper concrete washout.

10. Is the contractor responsible for the quality control? Yes, the contractor is responsible for maintaining quality control throughout the project. However, Commerce City will contract directly with a construction material testing consultant for testing compaction, concrete and any special inspections. General infield inspections will be performed by City Inspectors.

11. What is the Estimate/Budget? The estimated project range is $0 to $100K.
