1. The Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Specified Type B Procedures) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 [draft] were laid before the Parliament on 11 January 2021 and referred to the Health and Sport Committee.

2. The Regulations are subject to the affirmative procedure (Rule 10.6).

3. At its meeting on 26 January 2021, the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee considered the instrument and determined that it did not need to draw the attention of the Parliament to the instrument on any grounds within its remit.

4. It is for the Health and Sport Committee to recommend to the Parliament whether the regulations should be approved.

5. The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport has, by motion S5M-23852, proposed that the Committee recommends the approval of the Regulations.

6. At its meeting on the 9 February 2021, the Committee took evidence on The Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Specified Type B Procedures) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 [draft] from—

7. Following the evidence session, Mairi Gougeon moved motion S5M-23852 —

That the Health and Sport Committee recommends that The Human Tissue (Authorisation) (Specified Type B Procedures) (Scotland) Regulations 2021 [draft] be approved.
