BIRTH: Alice was born on 15 March 1858.
PARENTS: Alice’s father was Richard Dickinson, farmer of 43 acres and corn miller at Thunderbridge, and her mother was Elizabeth Dickinson, nee Roberts. They were married at All Hallows, Kirkburton on 06 May 1849
Alice’s father Richard was born on 10 April 1815 and was the son of Isaac Dickinson, corn miller, and Elizabeth Dickinson. Alice’s mother was born Elizabeth Roberts and her father was Jonathan William Roberts, brewer of Farnley Tyas.
Richard and Elizabeth had five children. Alice born 15 March 1858, Sarah Abigail Stocks born 05 July 1861, Jane Elizabeth born 12 January 1864, Thomas Edward born 13th December 1870 and Herbert born 13 April 1874. They were all baptised at All Hallows Church, Kirkburton

DEATH: Alice was buried on 14 March 1927 at Emmanuel Church, Shelley aged 68 years
OTHER INFORMATION: Alice was the sister of Sarah Abigail Dickinson who also worked at the Kirkburton Auxiliary Military Hospital. Alice’s mother was a widow in the 1911 census living at The Grange. Alice’s younger brother, Herbert, was also a corn miller.
