STEVE WEYLANDT, MHA Director

Steve is a Director at BDC Advisors. His 35-year career has focused on providing consulting services to all segments of the health industry including leading national healthcare systems, academic medical centers, and physician organizations. Since the passage of healthcare reform, Steve has focused on development of the strategies and financial plans necessary for provider organizations to successfully make the transition to the emerging population health management market. He has particular expertise in development of complex health system strategies including clinically integrated physician networks, Accountable Care Organizations, and market growth and system consolidation initiatives. Steve’s recent clients include successful strategy and financial planning engagements for many of the nation’s most influential provider systems including NewYork-Presbyterian Health System, George Washington University, Wellforce-Boston, Queen’s Health Systems, Duke University Health System, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Partners HealthCare System, BayCare Health System, Trinity Health, Ochsner Health System, and INTEGRIS Health.

Prior to joining BDC Advisors, Steve was a co-founder of an innovative telemedicine company providing emergency psychiatric consultation. He prepared the initial market analysis and business plan, raised the initial capital, and served as founding Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this, Steve was a consulting partner with Deloitte & Touche. During his 20- year tenure at Deloitte, he served clients throughout the United States and internationally.

Steve received his MS in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and his BA from The University of Texas at Austin. He is the past recipient of the Leonard A. Duce Award for Trinity Health Care Administration Alumnus of the Year. He currently serves as a member of the Finance Committee for Community Health Choice, a 300,000-member health plan serving the Houston region.
