UNDEFEATED! – Not even the wildest predictors could have seen it coming…a player winning in his first two professional starts on one of golf’s leading tours! On July 22 nd , Ben Kohles was wrapping up his amateur career with a T18 finish at the Porter Cup. Now, two weeks later, he has two professional wins under his belt. Here’s a list of the key things Kohles has accomplished the last two weeks:

• First player in Web.com Tour history to win in his first two professional starts. • 12 th player in Tour history to register consecutive victories; seventh player to win in consecutive weeks. • Previous record for quickest to win twice was Kevin Stadler , who took four starts to win two times. • Moves to No. 2 on the money list with $261,000. • Joins Casey Wittenberg as the only other two-time winner this year. • Tries to make it 3-for-3 this week at the Price Cutter Charity Championship in Springfield, Mo. A third win would earn Kohles a battlefield promotion to the PGA TOUR. is the only player to win three events in a row on the Web.com Tour (2005), however, they came during a five-tournament stretch.

ZEROING IN ON $10 MILLION FOR CHARITY – The Price Cutter Charity Championship has raised more than $9.2 million for charitable organizations in the Ozarks in its first 22 years as a Web.com Tour event. Last year, the tournament generated $782,000. A similar effort this year will get them real close to the $10 million milestone. Even if they don’t get there, the charities are assured of solid contributions continuing through 2016 as the tournament and Price Cutter recently agreed to a five-year extension.

IMPACT PLAYER – Less than a year removed from the Web.com Tour, Keegan Bradley won last year’s PGA Championship at Atlanta Athletic Club. Coupled with his earlier win at the HP Byron Nelson Championship, he was a candidate for 2011 Player of the Year and was voted Rookie of the Year. This past Sunday he won his third TOUR title, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The 26-year old has clearly had immediate impact on the PGA TOUR. He was one of six members of the Web.com Tour in 2010 who won on TOUR in 2011, but the only one to win twice. Bradley was a workhouse in 2010 playing in 28 of the Web.com Tour’s 29 events. He finished 14 th on the money list to earn his PGA TOUR card.

LUKE GUTHRIE KEEPS IT GOING, TOO – Also playing his second Web.com Tour event in Omaha since turning professional was Luke Guthrie . He followed up his playoff defeat to Ben Kohles in Columbus, Ohio with a T3 to move 13 spots up the money list to No. 20. The University of Illinois product recorded 22 birdies over the first 36 holes, setting a new Tour mark by two.

DON’T FORGET DAWIE – A little bit lost in all the Ben Kohles ’ commotion on Sunday at the Cox Classic was Dawie van der Walt ’s run at 59. The 29-year-old South African had to settle for an 11-under 60 when he missed an 8-footer for eagle on the 17 th hole at Champions Run and a 6-footer for birdie on the 18 th . He finished a career-best second and moved to 35 th on the money list. Only three players have posted 59s in the 23-year history of the Web.com Tour – Notah Begay III, Doug Dunakey and Jason Gore .

340 & 341 – For the second time in three weeks, Tour alumni collected both titles on the PGA TOUR over the weekend. Keegan Bradley (WGC-Bridgestone Invitational) and J.J. Henry (Reno-Tahoe Open) added alumni wins Nos. 340 and 341. On July 22 nd , Ernie Els won the British Open and Scott Stallings the True South Classic. Since the beginning of May, only four PGA TOUR events have not been won by Web.com Tour alums.

DID YOU KNOW? – On Sunday in Omaha, the top-eight finishers had only one bogey among them and collectively shot 50-under par….45 birdies, three eagles and one bogey (Justin Bolli, par-3, 8 th hole).

BIRTHDAY BOYS – Celebrating birthdays this week in Springfield are Nate Smith (Aug. 7 th /29), Brett Wetterich (9 th /39) and Ron Whittaker (12 th /41).

NEXT WEEK – The Web.com Tour is in the Kansas City area for the Midwest Classic presented by Cadillac at Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in Overland Park, Kan. (Aug. 16-19).
