11 MEDICAL INFORMATION SPORTS MEDICINE

The main athletic training room is located in the hallway in the southwest corner of the court in the Justice Center. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is also a satalite athletic training room located in Kimmel Arena for men’s and women’s basketball games. On weekends and official university holidays, the athletic training room is only open for practice and event coverage. The training room opens two hours before games and one hour before practices. A certified athletic trainer is in attendance at all home events. Visit- ing teams are provided with ice, water, cups and a biohazard bag. Please contact the Director of Sports Medicine for any special arrangements.

UNC Asheville will provide an auxiliary location (near your locker room) with adequate space for social distanced pre-game/halftime/post-game team meetings. Additionally, these spaces may be used for post-game meals prior to teams exiting the facility. Food must be individually boxed and must be ordered from one of our corporate sponsors. Please contact Taylor Ledbetter if you anticipate food deliveries to the arena prior to your departure.

Masks are required to be worn by all individuals at all times except when actively competing on the floor. If coaches plan to wear face shields, you MUST wear a mask underneath your shield.

It is highly recommended that teams assign student-athletes to a specific chair on the bench for the duration of the competition. Hand sanitizer will be available on each bench and throughout the facility. UNC Asheville will sanitize the bench areas during half-time.

Please enter and exit the facility through the arena doors that your team has been assigned. Do not move in an opposite direction from pre-determined traffic patterns in the arena.

Teams may ONLY enter the court when notified by a UNC Asheville staff member. At no time may teams “wait” in hallways etc. Please remain in your auxiliary locations until notified.

Temperatures will be taken upon entry to Kimmel Arena.

RESULTS Results from every UNC Asheville home event will be compiled following each game. Copies of results will be provided following each event. Live video and audio streaming of select contests, along with results, following each contest, will also be available through the Athletics web site: www.uncabulldogs.com.

STATISTICS The UNC Asheville Athletic Communications office compiles all statistics for home events. Season-to-date stats for all UNC Asheville athletic teams are available through the Athletics Communications office and the Athletics Department web site.

MEDIA REPORTING The UNC Asheville Athletic Communications office is the primary liaison between media and the Athletics Department.
