Citybus is Awarded to Operate 4 New Routes Expanding its Service Network Brand New Peak Hours Cross-harbour Route 686, 933, 976 and 989 Link up Tai Wai/ Tsuen Wan/ Yuen Long San Tin/ with Island East Octopus Bus-Bus-Interchange concessions to be introduced with more than 100 NWFB and Citybus routes

(19 April 2021, ) Effective from Monday, 26 April, Citybus will launch Route 686, 933, 976 and 989, providing peak hour services between Tai Wai/ Tsuen Wan/ Yuen Long San Tin/ Fo Tan and Island East on Monday to Friday (except public holiday). Route 686 and 989 will be the first two franchised routes solely operated by Citybus in . Citybus will prioritize to deploy Euro 6 buses to these four new routes. These buses are equipped with safety seat belt on all seats, electronic stability control system, active speed limiting system and parking space for two wheelchairs. New Octopus Bus-Bus-Interchange (“BBI”) concessions for the new routes with more than 100 New World First Bus (“NWFB”) and Citybus routes will be available at Western/ Eastern Harbour Crossing and , providing multiple and convenient travelling options for our customers to travel between the and Hong Kong Island. Route 686 (running between Tai Wai Station and Ho) Departures from Tai Wai Station operate at 7:10am, 7:25am, 7:45am and 8:10am via Tin Sam Village, Carado Garden, Hin Keng Estate, Lung Hang Estate, , , Sha Kok Estate, then via Tate’s Cairn Tunnel and Eastern Harbour Crossing after Kong Pui Street Rest Garden, travelling to , Quarry Bay and Tai Koo before terminating at Sai Wan Ho Munsang College (Hong Kong Island). Departures from Sai Wan Ho Munsang College (Hong Kong Island) operate at 6:10pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm and 7:30pm via Tai Koo, Quarry Bay and North Point, Eastern Harbour Crossing and Tate’s Cairn Tunnel, travelling to Sha Tin Wai New Village, , Chun Shek Estate, Sun Chui Estate, Lung Hang Estate, Ha Keng Hau Village, Hin Tin Village and Festival City before terminating at Tai Wai Station. The full fare is HK$17.4 with section fares applied.

Route 933 (running between Tsuen Wan West Station and Sai Wan Ho) Departures from Tsuen Wan West Station operate at 7:20am, 7:35am, 7:55am and 8:20am via Yeung Uk Road Market and Ma Tau Pa Road, then via Western Harbour Crossing and Central-Wan Chai Bypass after Lung Tak Street, plying to North Point, Quarry Bay and Tai Koo before terminating at Sai Wan Ho Munsang College (Hong Kong Island). Departures from Sai Wan Ho Munsang College (Hong Kong Island) operate at 6:15pm, 6:35pm, 6:55pm and 7:25pm via Tai Koo, Quarry Bay and North Point, then via Central-Wan Chai Bypass to go to Central and Western Harbour Crossing, plying to Lung Tak Street, Luen Yan Street, Bo Shek Mansion and Lady Trench Polyclinic before terminating at Tsuen Wan West Station.
