Dehradun, Dt. 03 february, 2014 The Chief Minister, , while on a visit, here, said today that every manner of assistance would be provided to the disaster affected people. Rules that obstructed aid would be removed. In this context, he has instructed the DM to ensure the problems of the people were dealt with at his level and nobody should need to approach the CM with pending problems. He promised that the works and announcements of former CM Vijay Bahuguna would be taken forward.

The development work would be taken forward in an organised and phased manner, he declared. Separate disaster zone areas would be set up in disaster affected areas and a committee established for the development of each. This development would be managed at the district level.

CM Rawat added that a list of priorities was needed for development work. The people could have innumerable demands which would be fulfilled in an organised manner.

On the occasion, he appreciated the work done by former CM Vijay Bahuguna. He said that the work being undertaken in the disaster affected areas was challenging and might take a long time. A route map would be prepared to achieve the same. Local MLA Shailarani Rawat put forward several problems being faced by the locals. Present on the occasion were Finance Minister Dr Indira Hridayesh, Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat, Dr Anusuiya Prasad Maikhuri, MLAs Rajendra Bhandari, Navprabhat, Jeeetram and Shaila Rani Rawat amongst others.

Dehradun, Dt. 03 february, 2014 The Chief Minister conducted a survey of Chamoli district’s Tharali and Peepalkoti areas, today. He promised that the disaster victims that had got left out would be given compensation within four months. Also, that a Registrar would be appointed in Tharali soon.

CM Harish Rawat heard people’s problems and gave an assurance on solving their problems. He added that a technical team would be sent before construction works were undertaken to ensure that the work was done safely.

The CM said that, in the upcoming cabinet meeting on 5 February, discussions would be held to arrange maximum funds for the disaster victims. He said that those affected by the disaster would be given all possible help.

He gave orders to all officials concerned to provide a proposal to the DMs regarding the funds pending for the relief work. He also asked the MLAs to ensure that every individual who was to be covered by compensation was granted aid. The list of those who had not received compensation ought to be submitted to the DMs.

Peepalkoti/ Dehradun, Dt. 03 february, 2014 A tehsil will be established in Narayanbagad and Jilasu while a base hospital in Gopeshwar, Pharmacy and B Pharma in Pokhri will be established. At a community meeting held in State Inter College of Gadora, Peepalkoti, Harish Rawat announced introduction of NCC. He also announced metalling of Gopeshwar- Chamoli motor road, Inter College Sarodugra and Bamoth to be included in assistance list, to develop an herbs institute and to associate it with ITI. He sanctioned the expenditure amount for the stadium to be built in Pipalkoti an also gave orders to PITCUL to vacate the stadium area. He gave orders to Home Secretary to remove cases against the unemployed pharmacists. He also gave assurance for upgradation of three junior high schools and one High School along with construction of campus for Sridev Suman University. The CM heard the problems of the local residents and said that the villages which have been not been covered by government compensation will be included. Orders have been given to conduct surveys all over again. He will again conduct a survey of the area after a month and half and listen to people’s issues. He gave clear directions to his officials that he should not hear any problem regarding compensation in his next visit. The CM Harish Rawat said that he is sensitive towards the problems being faced by the women of the region and he will make all efforts to solve them. The people of the state have not only given up their lives fighting wars, but also braving the disaster that hit the state. He assured that all development schemes announced in the state will be implemented with immediate effect. He added that all measures will be taken to revive the true identity of the state. Present on the occasion were Finance Minister Dr Indira Hridayesh, Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat, Deputy Speaker Vidhan Sabha AP Maikhuri, Rajendra Bhandari, Navprabat, Jeetram and Director Forest Development Committee Atul Shah along with several local residents.
